We loved this place - spotless, with a great location, walking distance to a great coffee shop and park, and close to the U district. It's absolutely spotless and well-stocked, with beautiful backyard views. The owner was lovely and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

A place with everything you need

On a quiet side street near the U, this VRBO is complete with comfortable beds, a fabulous bathroom and a very functional kitchen. Oh, and a giant TV for all your watching needs. The host is right upstairs and responds to text quickly. Highly recommended for either short or long stay, we will definitely stay here again!

Every detail is thought of in this beautifully appointed home in the heart of the peaceful university district in Seattle. Conveniently located near the light rail and trail systems. A close jump over to downtown. Ron is over the to accommodating and clearly takes great pride in his perfectly spotless property. S’mores kits to pair with the garden side gas firepit.. fresh eggs in the fridge… every coffee choice you bc oils possibly imagine. I sipped a dark roast and watched a woodpecker in the sunrise through the towering pines. We had the best time and felt safe and rejuvenated after a whirlwind trip

Great new apartment!

We have stayed at Ron’s before and loved it. This is a new apartment in the same building. Everything is great. Two cautions for older viewers: the apartment door is fifteen steps down from the street level and the shower is in a deep tub. We had no problem with either (ron installed a shower grab bar) but better one should know. Ten day stay was relaxing and comfortable. We will be back.

Excellent property and host

Ron was hands down the finest host I’ve ever had at a rental property. He was on-site the entire time, which certainly helped with the experience, but he was very attentive from reservation through departure. He met me on site, walked me through the entire property, showed how everything worked, and was very pleasant. I saw him a few more times randomly and was always professional and communicative. The property was immaculate, very well designed and decorated and felt much larger than the square footage. The porch was a delight, beds comfortable, bathroom immaculate, kitchen operated perfectly. Close to UW -but not too close - and adjacent to the Burke Gilman Trail for runners, bikers, or walkers: a terrific amenity. I definitely recommend this property and Ron and given the opportunity I’d stay there again.

Beautiful home

We were the 2nd family to stay at Ron’s. The home was well stocked with everything we needed even extra toiletries/hygiene supplies. It was supplied with all the cleaning supplies we needed. Extra towels, blankets, pillows and sheets. When we got there Ron was ready to hand us the keys (so it’s not contactless), he gave us a quick tour of the home to show us how to use the deep shower/bath, the washing machine, dishwasher, etc. the tv has a great sound system with surround sound, we had to turn it off cuz we didn’t want to hear bluey in surround sound… LOL. The home is very modern with new appliances & furniture. The view from the balcony is beautiful. It’s on the second floor so be prepared to go down several steps to get in/out. We didn’t use the backyard at all. When we left Ron asked if there was anything he could do for the next guests, I only mentioned having instructions for the A/C cuz it got hotter at night, and we’d open the windows and the cool evening breeze was enough for our stay. Ron lives upstairs Google map said it’s 20 minute drive to downtown Seattle, but with daily traffic took us at least 30 min to get to where we wanted. My grand daughter had a concert at climate pledge and instead of 32 min, it took us 1hr and 15 min to get there. Just be prepared for traffic from this location. My grandson (3 yrs old) loved the toys in the media cabinet. Plus there were family friendly games & puzzles. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay here again.

We absolutely loved it! My husband and I adore the chic and relaxed set up. The hosts are very thoughtful and accommodating; we didn't even need to bother them while we were there. After a weekend of sight-reading, we got cozy and hunkered down comfortably. I especially enjoyed sitting on the patio with my coffee in the morning and listening to the birds. We would love to stay here again, next time we come to Seattle.

This is the best place you could ever hope to stay. Anywhere. The hosts have thought of everything for a comfortable stay. There is not a spec of dirt anywhere, everything works as it should, there are wonderfully comfortable beds Lus the enormous couch that easily converts to a sofa bed, lovely, high quality bedding, and the deck and surroundings are delightful. I could go on and on. Truly A.

This location is WONDERFUL. Ron and his wife thought of every detail for a wonderful stay. It is in a beautiful, safe area with parking available under the carport, or on the street. Ron welcomed us and gave a grand tour explaining how everything in the rental works and where to find things. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, cookware, and some spices. The sectional was spacious and comfortable; the recliners only extend a leg rest not a back extension. My family of 4 had plenty of privacy between the bedrooms. The bathroom has a very deep tub and a handheld showerhead, plenty of towels, and countertop space. It is very obvious how well maintained the unit is. I would definitely come back to this Vrbo anytime I’m in Seattle. FYI: This location is not accessible due to a flight of stairs to get to the entrance.

Girls trip for Turners Conference

We were in Portland for a conference, and took the train from Portland to spend a few days in Seattle after the conference was over. We ended up having a 2 hour delay with our Amtrak and got to the B&B really late (around 1 a.m.) We were all very pleasantly impressed with the beautiful space from the moment we walked in. It was a fantastic space to unwind after some busy days exploring Seattle. It was also very convenient as far as getting to public transportation to get on the lightrail into downtown. And even though we didn't get to meet Ron in person, he was a fantastic host that went out of his way to walk through and help with anything that came up (using the grill and the natural gas firepit ) and always quick to respond even when he was on vacation himself during our stay. I would definitely stay again in a heartbeat when I return to Seattle

We had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo! Our host was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to chat with. He gave us a thorough tour of the suite upon arrival and shared helpful tips about nearby grocery stores and convenient park-and-ride options for taking the train into the city. The suite was spotless and felt like new. It was fully stocked with plenty of towels, blankets, and pillows, as well as thoughtful extras like coffee pods, tea, spices, sugar, and even pantry staples like soup. The bathroom was equipped with everything we needed—hair dryer, toothpaste, floss, Q-tips, band-aids, and high-quality shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. There were lots of little extras that made our stay even more comfortable: a Google Home speaker, reusable cloth shopping bags, a great selection of tourist books, maps, and magazines, and a laundry area with easy-to-use machines, detergent pods, a drying line, and an iron.We also really enjoyed the peaceful view of the backyard, the lovely balcony space, and the wide variety of TV channels available in all the bedrooms.Overall, it was a clean, welcoming, and well-equipped space, and our host went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommended!

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was one of the best places we've every stayed at. Plenty of ammeneties and very spacious even with four of us. Also located in an area close enough to downtown but in a nice, quiet residential area. Host Ron was such an amazing person and was very helpful when we had questions. We definitely recommend this place!

About the host

Host profile image
As your host, Ron, I have decades of experience in hospitality, as the owner of one of Seattle's most beloved restaurants. I expanded into home renovation during 2010 as general contractor as my wife and I brought our 1967 home into the 21st century. We updated every inch of the home and are comfortable on the first floor of this comfortable three story home. We especially love the location, the feeling of being in the forest as we gaze out on the wooded garden and watch the birds.

Why they chose this property

We have lived in Northeast Seattle for years, but especially enjoy this home for its tranquil setting combined with easy access to everything we love. We can be in the Cascade or Olympic Mountains, on Puget Sound, or the San Juan Islands in no time. Our community is diverse, urban, literate and comfortable.

What makes this property unique

We adopted the Pacific Northwest as our home many years ago, have raised our children here, and are delighted to share our community with visitors. We trust you will leave Seattle as smitten as we are!
