Two bedroom/ TWO full baths (yep, TWO); lusciously comfortable & relaxing space. Air Conditioned. Wi-Fi. Centrally located in the Beautiful Black Hills, close to all local area attractions. See the sights all day and come back and you are only a short and wonderful walk to shop & dining (who wants to cook on vacation?) if you do, we have a new grill and well stocked kitchen at your disposal. Don't miss the atmosphere this location offers...it truly is the best of both worlds!

A super cozy, super fun place to hang your hat while exploring all the Hills have to offer.
The Winston offers all of the comforts of home and the convienence of being close to all the major attractions. Did you forget something, walk to the market....still want that fun trinket you saw earlier at the store.....take an evening stroll and pick it up before its gone.

It was a lovely home in a good location. All the rooms were nice. The kitchen was well stocked.We were surprised that the bedrooms were in the basement. It was soooo clean and well decorated . Julie took good care of us.

My sisters and I came for girls weekend and really enjoyed this property. The location was ideal for shopping and eating in down town Custer and a short drive to lakes and hiking.

Thankfully, this property popped up for us at the last minute. We spent five nights here and used it as our home base while we traveled to Rushmore, Badlands NP, Wind Cave NP, Custer SP, and beyond. The WiFi was stable, water heater was large so never ran out of hot water, and we appreciated the extra towels and really appreciated the washcloths (we've noticed very few places actually have washcloths anymore). We really liked having two bathrooms!The neighborhood was very quiet and the town felt very safe. We only heard a siren once while there. The cottage is quaint and cozy; it felt like home. Our hostess was punctual in her communication, and the check-in/ check-out process was straightforward.

Quiet cottage close to everything

It’s on the main road but it faces the alley and is super quiet. A/c just on top floor but good fan for pushing it down to the bedrooms plus there are fans in each bedroom and the bottom floor is partly a basement (with bedroom windows) so it stays nice and cool. Everything is super clean and the kitchen is well stocked. Seating for seven to eat at two tables plus nice outdoor tables and bbq. The two bathrooms are full tubs and showers and towels are new. Very nice. There’s a small fenced side yard also. Julie is nice as well.

Wonderful stay

The property was very nice and clean and a great location. There’s plenty of things to do within walking distance and even more a short drive away. I’d def return to this property next time I’m in the area. Our host was very accommodating, the home was very comfortable and plenty of kitchen supplies and a grill if you choose to eat in.

Great little spot in Custer

An excellent property. Quiet, clean, and cozy place to stay for our Black Hills adventures. Location was perfect for day trips, and also short walks to restaurants and shops downtown. Owner was friendly and communicative. Recommend!

We are a family that has hospitality in our blood. I was raised in a family resort setting in Northern Minnesota and fully understand and desire to give a great guest expierinece here in Custer. We fell in love with South Dakota and the Black Hills 8 years ago while on a family road trip. We had stayed on this property and the rest, as they say is history.

Why they chose this property

We love the convenience that Custer has to offer. We originally vacationed in more remote settings but really loved the proximity to all the must see/must do's the Hills has to offer. On a short stay this location makes more of them possible....oh, and the ability to get items that we forgot at the store etc..
