**500 security deposit required. It was only mentioned as “maybe required” in listing. Beautiful house, nice quiet and safe neighborhood. Beds were comfortable and bedrooms clean. Beautiful views from bedrooms. Plenty of street parking. Bare-bones rental. Not a single extra towel to be had and no shower mats provided, or supplies when asked. Master bathroom shower had not been properly cleaned, visible grime… I refused to shower there as I didn’t have shower shoes. Almost no “extras” in kitchen (no salt or coffee). Not much local information (close grocery stores or restaurants)

Disliked: Cleanliness
The property has a nice layout and convenient downtown location, but unfortunately there were several issues that made our stay less comfortable than expected. The bed in the front room is collapsing in the middle and was unusable, which led us to leave a day early. We recommend replacing it soon. The master bedroom sheets did not appear freshly cleaned, which was disappointing. There were also a number of maintenance concerns — a loose faucet in the upstairs shower/tub, broken or missing cupboard doors in the kitchen and downstairs bathroom, a broken towel rack, a stovetop burner that doesn’t work, and a frying pan without a handle.Communication about early check-in started off a bit curt but improved later, likely handled by another person. Overall, with some repairs and a more thorough cleaning process, and a new bed this could be a very nice stay in a great location.

First and 2nd day mishap
First of all, the check-in/ boarding questions were tedious. But after I answered all the questions, I wasn’t given the lock code coz it said it was too early. Upon arrival I still didn’t have the code. I had to call to ask for it. My group had to wait outside the front door for a while waiting. Finally got the code, didn’t work the first time despite several attempts. Had to call again and was given another code. Finally it worked.
When we got in, we noticed all the rolled and arranged towels in the bathrooms were still wet. All of them. They didn't have spare towels and did not have enough time to dry them for the next occupants. We had to wash all of them again and dry overnight. When we woke up early the next morning, the towels were still wet after drying. So we had to re-dry them again.
In one of the beds, my friends saw strands of hair on the sheets so we had to rewash them. In the meantime, they borrowed sheets from nearby relatives to use.
Then the worst thing happened. The water turned cold in the middle of the first 2 people showering. The rest of the group had to take cold showers. We immediately messaged the host about the problem. They said that it never happened before. We just wanted solution coz we didn't want to take cold showers again. This took a day of back and forth until we came home late that night and we had a walk-through via phone with the host. It got fixed that night. No issues after that. Beautiful house though.
