An overall excellent place to stay if you are looking to visit the Grass Valley area! You are away from any hustle and bustle so you can enjoy a quiet day or night and you are close enough to all the sights!! This place was a great find that has great hosts and a fun little place to relax!! I couldn’t recommend this place more; if you stay here you will enjoy yourself and not want to leave!!
It is such a relaxed area that you will find dear roaming freely!! What a place!!

Hot tub didn't seem clean, wasn't very hot, and was up behind the family's house, awkwardly close. Pool wasn't open, the shower didn't work one morning and the ladder to the bedroom loft was missing when we arrived. There weren't enough warm blankets for 3 people. The property and surrounding neighborhood are full of junked cars, and junk. There are a couple of rented trailers and run-down buses around the tiny house. The place smelled very strongly of toxic chemicals when we arrived. It is accessed down a long bumpy dirt road.

Joanna, sorry to hear you didn’t have a great experience. To clarify, the bus on the property is not rented — it’s a vintage 1960s bus that’s part of the vibe of the property. As you know, I was out of town when you arrived due to a delayed flight and tried to bring you extra blankets that same evening. I wish you would have communicated your issues in real time so I could have a chance to resolve them. I responded to your messages promptly and you did not make me aware of some of your issues until you checked out, and I even gave you a partial refund. The hot tub is set at 103 degrees and is well maintained. Lastly, the listing explicitly references the dirt road and that the pool is seasonal. You would be hard pressed to find many outdoor pools in the Sierras open on May 1st.

GREAT GET AWAY!

It was quiet and peaceful. Matt is a GREAT host and made sure we had everything. He walked me through it so I knew where everything was. When I am back in that area, Matt is getting another booking!!
