Smells and you get bullied

The house and the interior looks very nice. The problem is the house has a cigarette smoke smell. We contacted the owner and instead of trying to come up with a solution or even pretend to care he bullied us and said rude things about our character. The smell would come and go, almost like it was only present when someone was actively smoking. While you are given 3 spots for the house, we only had one spot as another car commonly parked there. When this happened I did not say anything because I did not want to interact with owner. I am concerned to even give this review because I am expecting to be bullied by the owner for this. I do not recommend!

Host please be aware of this lady. She booked my home and a months later insisted that I cancel her booking due to some personal issues. I informed her that if I was to cancel, I would be penalized as it was past the cancellation period. I never heard anything back from her regarding the situation. Fast forward, Emma showed up with her daughter 3 days late into her booking and withing 10 mins of being at the property, I received serval messages about a smoke smell. I informed her that I was the last person at the property as I inspect the home to ensure it was ready for her stay and that there was no smell of smoke. My home is a non-smoking property, and I have never had a guest make such claims. She escalated this to VRBO with the attempt to get her reservation cancelled and reimbursed. This attempt failed. Emma intentions was to come to the property and make false claims so she can get reimbursed for this reservation she wanted to cancel a month prior. She claimed the smell was so bad that she could not stay but when her attempt failed, she ended up staying for 5 days before exiting. Since, I didn't give into her demands and she didn't achieve the outcome she aimed for, she decided to leave a false and negative review. Owners/Hosts please beware of such behavior from this guest and really consider if this what type of person you want to open your home too. I would not recommend. She's the bully
