We were looking to get away and have a quiet weekend. This cabin provided that. A lot of moths, alive and dead when we got there. We tried to help remedy that. Beautiful location. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Thank you for staying.Yes it has been a crazy year for those moths and they just appear out of nowhere.
The downstairs bathtub needs a thorough cleaning. Should be swept under the beds and the deck. The manager, Julie, was great. Very helpful and informative with the questions I had. Really peaceful and quiet. I liked remote location.

Thank you for checking under the beds. We do try to clean under them but being short of help we may have overlooked that. We have talked to the homeowner on replacing the tub and shower in the main level but again thank you for that. Glad we could get the sink situation fixed for you with the glass that was wedged in the disposal.
Beautiful cabin! Very remote and quiet! We loved having 2 bathrooms! The A/C unit worked ok, but after reading other reviews, we took a few box fans and put them in the windows to draw in the cool mountain air. This worked great! We really enjoyed the huge deck for eating and hanging out! The cabin had everything we needed and the kitchen had great cookware!! We highly recommend this beautiful home! AND…the WiFi worked great!

Thank you for staying! Glad you enjoyed your time in the hills.
Great little secluded place that was both peaceful and relaxing for our weekend getaway with the family. It was also located in the perfect spot close to all of the locations we planned to visit (Mt Rushmore / Bear Country / Caves / Reptile Gardens). Would highly recommend!

Location
We loved the remote location of this cabin! Very cozy cabin with peaceful surroundings! It was tricky to cool the main floor to a comfortable level without AC or being able to open more windows but we made the best of it and spent a lot of time on the deck.
We enjoyed our stay. It was exactly as advertised. We were close to Hill City where we enjoyed the shops and the breweries/ wineries. This was a quiet place to relax after a day of exploring Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse monument as well as Custer State Park. Beds were comfortable and kitchen provided adequate supplies.

Thank you for staying! We ae glad you enjoyed the cabin.
We really enjoyed our stay - though we were switched to a different cabin. Julie was very communicative and helpful throughout our stay. The location was perfect - we were close to Mt. Rushmore, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave and Custer State Park. And close enough to Hill City and Keystine to find great places to eat and hang out. We were actually at Riley’s Retreat and it was a great cabin. Have already recommended to a couple of friends!

Nice but far
Super cute property but way off the beaten path. I’d stay again if I was looking for a weekend of just hanging in a cabin but not doing the sight seeing thing. Probably a little tighter for my family.

Dirty
Mold and mildew in all bathrooms. Dead animal or strong smell of one in upstairs closet. Not a good experience. Needs to be cleaned throughout.

I am glad we could move you to another home that was suitable for you and your group. I think you forgot to mention we moved you to a larger home that worked for you during your stay with no extra charge.
Thank you
I’ve been doing Vrbo for years and never complained except for one other!! This place was not up front until you pay and then give you more rules on what you can’t do vs can do left a bad taste from the get go!! The place had 70’s shag dirty carpet disgusting.. mildew bathrooms, only portable a/c upstairs so if you sleep downstairs your screwed!! Can’t open slider to at least get airflow, no screens! Dilapidated tables on porch which should be thrown away!! Perfectly good table that was thrown in back of the house that no one took the effort to replace!! Left 2 towels that were see through that I would even use as rags!! The noisy neighbor checking out everything you do, I’m assuming he’s the one who complains so that’s why the negative list of everything you can’t do!! The positive s: bed was comfortable, the tv worked and we saw a few deers and roaming cattle!! I would say camp tenting and using public bathroom would be better and cleaner!!!

I am so sorry you had a bad experience. The tub shower is older I will agree. We do state only portable a/c in the bedroom upstairs only. The tables are new on the deck and the one on the side of the home was placed their by the homeowners for guests to sit off the deck.
The carpet in the bedroom upstairs is older as well. You make it sound like it was too dirty to even stay in. There are alot of towels in the home I am sorry you had 2 that were thin. I did not realize that.
Can't do anything about the neighbors and we do have certain rules.
No parties-no smoking-no open fires. All are listed on the site.
Hoping your next vacation is better.
Beautiful doesn't describe the surroundings for this amazing cabin. In the middle of anything you want to do, UTV trails right outside your door, wildlife, calm mornings for coffee on the deck... AMAZING! We will be going back!!
We all had a great time , riding the motorcycles on the gravel wasn't as bad as we thought it would be. definitely would reccomend this to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with a great view.
