The hot tub didnt work. The water was super cold. We are from Charlotte and it was our kids Spring break. The main reason we chose this location was bc of the pool amd hot tub and we were not able to enjoy it at all bc ot was cold. The hold did turn it on for us but the water never got warm amd she said she would have to call a technician but no one ever came. We ended up leaving a day early.
Great family trip and great host! Miriam was the best!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, listing accuracy
Despite the listing and confirmation email- we were made to wait on the porch until 4pm rather than 3:30 check-in. No bakeware, measuring cups or mixing bowls. No iron. We stayed there to get ready and cook- which was difficult. Beautiful yard, house was clean.
Very clean, modern. Beautiful setting one suggestion: 3 rd bedroom had only one twin bed and we could have used two beds in that room However, everything was wonderful and we would highly recommend.
We enjoyed having our morning coffee in the Carolina room. The pool and landscape are impeccable and relaxing. My daughter and granddaughter went to Carowinds and the drive was 10 minutes. My only concern is the upstairs are fairly steep and there is no handrail, making it a bit difficult when carrying items.
I would have appreciated specific details about the checking in process several days in advance of the stay. Would have preferred to have control of the hot tub rather than requesting it to be turned on/off. Directions on how to work the TV’s would be welcome. Sparse signal for WiFi. Condition of furniture is very worn and the overall interior and exterior could use some maintenance. Extra beds are full size and twin, not queen, except for king in master. Overall nice house - some palmetto bugs, but I don’t know how much control you have of that in the south.
Stayed here with my spouse, kids (2) , sister-in-law, and mother-in-law for a graduation. Everything was as stated; plenty of room for all to not be on top of each other. The outside was more spacious than we imagined. The only thing we thought was odd was we had to ask our host to turn on the jacuzzi whenever we wanted to use it (bubbles and heat). Although odd, it wasn't an issue because our host was quick to answer us! Would highly recommend! We even saw deer in the woods in the front of the house. Beautiful!!

Liked: Cleanliness, location
Disliked: Check-in, communication
While aesthetically pleasing, this property failed to meet the specifications outlined in the listing and the terms of the rental agreement.Communication & Check-InThe check-in process was inefficient and poorly managed. The host failed to provide entry instructions proactively and subsequently provided incorrect information. It required three separate points of contact before the property could be accessed. Property Condition & AccuracyThe property’s actual condition deviates significantly from its advertised "premium" status:Accommodations: The advertised "King" bed consisted of two twin mattresses pushed together.Maintenance: Several drawers lacked hardware, and the shower floor was stained.Exterior: A non-functional go-cart remained in the driveway for the duration of the stay.Furnishings: Beyond the kitchen, the home is outfitted with basic rental-grade furniture.Amenities & Contractual ObligationsThe hot tub—a primary feature of the listing—was non-functional for the entire week. While the host requires guests to purchase specialized insurance to protect the property's "value," they failed to deliver the amenities guaranteed in their own contract.Dispute ResolutionThe host’s attempt at resolution was inadequate. The offered compensation was less than the cost of a single night's stay. Furthermore, the host was evasive with third-party mediators (VRBO), claiming an incorrect contact number despite having used that same number for direct communication
This is more of an FYI, you can only use the hot tub for three hours a day, he told us to let him know our schedule so he could turn it on, we always had to e-mail for him to turn it on, and it took a half an hour to warm up, so if you want it at eight say you want it for seven thirty, the one day he did turn it on in time we were so happy because we were out for dinner, unfortunately the heat wasn’t turned on. The pool is not heated, you can get it heated for 250 extra a day but you need 24 hour notice. I left a few items in the dryer when I left, I emailed him and he said he could ship them, I told him my son could come and pick the stuff up, then he told me it was to late they had thrown everything away, but I had reached out to him before they would have been done cleaning, my suggestion would be maybe use a text message instead of e-mail so you get a faster response, in saying all of this I would still rent this house again, another suggestion would be to add drapes or blinds to the bathrooms and all bedrooms!
