Riverfront Beach House Rental

Charming river front home is perfect for a small family or couple. It is a short walk to the beach. Guests have access to the Quiet Water pool (open seasonally) and tennis court. There is a canoe/kayak launch just down a path that people love to walk on as they explore the large Quiet Water property. We have an inflatable kayak and pump for guest use. More can be discovered about Quiet Water at https://www.qwha.org/ Our cozy sunroom is fantastic for watching the birds and beautiful riverbank in all weather. The upstairs lofted bedroom has a king-size bed and there is a queen-sized bed built into an alcove wall downstairs. Upstairs off the master bedroom is a small sleeping room with a twin size bed. There are two bathrooms and a washer and dryer. The house has a full kitchen with microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Our guests have a private, covered parking space and access to one additional public space. We have two small smart TVs and full wireless internet provided. We have a 2-day minimum stay. No pets or smoking.

Beautiful inside and out. I absolutely adored the sun room and could have spent all of my vacation in there if not for the beach just a walk away.

We loved sitting in the sun room each morning to read as passersby stopped to admire the owner's flowers off the back deck. Friendly neighbors with an active pickleball group during summer months. We had everything we needed. Much appreciated.

Down by the River

For nature lovers, this is an ideal setting on the bank of the Yachats River. The house is a cozy family home, a lovely interior, a perfect deck for wildlife watching or just relaxing and daydreaming.Marilyn was a very thoughtful hostess and very responsive, making our stay most enjoyable. My husband and I are looking forward to returning for another stay!

Cute simple house. Very homey. Check it was simple and quick. Well stocked with kitchen essentials. Kids really enjoyed the pool. Loved watching the wildlife. Owner was extremely helpful and easy to work with.

Beautiful home overlooking the Yachats river. Easy walk into downtown. The house was immaculately clean and well appointed. Very cosy. Just what we were looking for. Great communication with our host, who was helpful and accommodating. We have stayed at dozens of vacation homes and apartments from Oregon to Puerto Rico. This just might be our favorite.

Lovely home; Beautiful location

I spent a month at Marilyn’s house to enjoy a change of scenery while working remotely. The internet connection is great for remote work. Aside from a very brief provider outage, I had no issues during my stay. If you work in the sunroom, you get to watch the wildlife along the river—I had a few rabbits hop right up to the window, and watched plenty of herons soar by. The home itself is incredibly warm and cozy. The beds are very comfortable, and the house is fully furnished with everything needed for an extended stay. I ordered grocery delivery right to the house, and had all the cookware I needed for meal preparation. Marilyn is a kind, thoughtful, communicative host. She’s been in the area many years and had great recommendations for nearby activities! I loved walking into town for the Sunday morning farmer’s market, as well as evening walks along the beach or into town for dinner. Cape Perpetua is minutes down the 101, and has gorgeous coastline and hiking trails. if you’re looking for a laid-back, nature-filled, coastal getaway, this is it! A serene setting and beautiful home: I’m so glad I got to experience it.

We have owned this home for over 45 years.
The beach house sits 22 feet off the Yachats river, no more than a 5-minute walk to the ocean.
There are eagles, otters, beavers and birds of all kinds to enjoy. Also the river is great fun for kayaking, canoeing and just watching the wildlife. It is easy to canoe to the ocean from the boat launch. There are great agate and seasonal shell beaches one block away. There is a very old preserved covered bridge 7 miles up River Road, hiking paths everywhere and a light house 8 miles away. It is a beautiful coast line. There is crabbing off the dock or boat in Waldport 7 miles north of us.
There are beautiful sunsets and great winter storms. I personally love the storms and king tides. Really fun things wash up on the beaches and the waves are fantastic. I enjoy sharing this beautiful part of the earth that God has made.

Why they chose this property

It is a beautiful part of the coast line on the river and a very quiet association with many permanent residents. Everyone is friendly and happy to help and share all the things that happen in this tight community. They share the best places to eat and activities available. There is always something happening there or close by.

What makes this property unique

We have a sunroom that you can sit in and watch the wildlife and coastal weather. There is a nice path along the river for renters to walk. It is extremely peaceful.
