"Goodbye, City Life!" Faith Family Farmhouse offers a peaceful retreat, ideal for couples or small families seeking solitude amidst nature's embrace. When you turn into the long driveway of the farm, lined and shaded by beautiful trees on each side, you'll know you're "home." In a very rural setting, Faith Family Farmhouse is also centrally located between state parks and the national preserve – and minutes away from unique shopping and dining as well as museums, parks and antique malls. You can explore all of the beautiful waterfalls, forests, wildlife, and native plants offered by Lookout Mountain in Alabama and nearby Georgia!

Explore waterfalls, parks, shops, and restaurants - relax with a cup of coffee at the outdoor dining area or gather for s'mores around a firepit made from river rocks! Enjoy beautiful forested meadow views with gardens and a beautiful red barn in the background. You will have your privacy, but you can message the host (Peaceful Retreats) to schedule a guided farm tour to see all of the farm animals :) Wake up to the gentle sounds of the countryside and savor your morning coffee outdoor under the open pavilion. Renew, refresh, and be restored!

**THE RETREAT PROPERTY**

Once lived in by retreat property owners who now live in the larger home on the farm, Faith Family Farmhouse has been an ongoing restoration project of love for guests visiting the farm :) Its own graveled parking area allows guests to park directly by the large open pavilion that is attached to the farmhouse. Under the open pavilion, you will see 3 stairs leading to the porch/deck area, and that is where you will enter the farmhouse.

From every window of this one-level home, there are refreshing views of the beautiful farm. Though small at approximately 538 square feet, you'll have many of the comforts of home, as the retreat property owners have a desire to continue making the farmhouse a home away from home for their guests. Moving into the main living area, you will appreciate the sight of comfortable seating for 4 guests. A 43” Roku TV is mounted in the corner on the wall, and there is Wi-Fi for streaming movie nights after a day of adventures at Lookout Mountain :). There is a large comfy sofa that can be made into a queen bed if needed with a comfortable memory foam mattress. In the laundry area and bonus room, there is a “sofa bed kit” - with bedding for guests 3 and 4 if required.

Directly next to the living room area is a small fold-out dining table with 2 chairs. There is also an outdoor dining table with 4 chairs under the open pavilion, and guests can bring those chairs inside, as needed, for dining inside.

The kitchen is complete with a refrigerator, gas stove, dishwasher, crock pot, toaster, microwave, blender, cooking pots, can opener, cooking utensils, dishes, drinking glasses, eating utensils, cooking spices, and more. There is also a 12-cup drip coffee maker and an electric hot water kettle for making hot teas and hot chocolate :)

An HVAC system was installed in November 2024, with dual mini split units in the living area and bedroom - keep the cottage very comfortable with remote controls.

There is a full bathroom with a sink, toilet and tub/shower combo that includes a handheld shower faucet option. The primary bedroom is located next to the bathroom and has comfortable quilted bedding for your rest and relaxation.

Next to the primary bedroom, there is a bonus room and laundry area that is open to the primary bedroom. There is plenty of closet space and a dresser in the bonus room, as well as a twin bed with comfortable bedding. Also in this bonus room is a washer and dryer for your convenience during your retreat.

You will be given access to a list of favorite attractions and restaurants! Waterfalls, national preserve, state parks, zip lining, hiking, picnicking, rappelling, horseback trail rides, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing, wild animal preserve, golfing, swimming, museums, glass blowing, making pottery, skiing (seasonal), axe throwing, unique local dining, antique shopping, scenic drives, and MORE! So that you can experience life on the mountain like locals, we provide our guests with a list of all the attractions and restaurants! Chattanooga is only an hour away - Birmingham and Atlanta are less than 2 hours away!

**OUR POLICIES**

You will receive an email to e-sign a vacation rental agreement and upload your photo ID before the reservation is complete.
This retreat property allows small dogs only (less than 20 lbs), leashed at all times due to sensitivity of farm animals. If you wish to bring a small dog, a pet fee of $69 applies per dog (2 dogs max). There is a beautiful area beside the farmhouse designated for walking dogs so that farm animals are not disturbed.
This retreat property does NOT allow smoking anywhere on the property.
Exterior security cameras are located at this property.
Parking area allows for 2 cars max.
Quiet Hours 8pm to 8am.
There is a $300 security deposit HOLD required for this retreat property.
Guests will receive email communication from Peaceful Retreats prior, during and after each retreat.
Do not approach the animals. The farm animals are very sensitive, so please be very respectful. Chickens are free-range pets of the retreat property owners. They love to take strolls throughout the property.

Peaceful Retreats gives back 10% of all revenue commission collected from reservations at Faith Family Farm to Soddo Christian Hospital in Ethiopia.
