Great location and very relaxing!

We were in the area for 12 days and this was a great location. The fireplace (gas) was quite pleasant on the cooler evenings. Beautiful view of the water from the deck.

Lovely weekend getaway

Very cute property, small but functional! Views are incredible and it was quite relaxing to sit out on the deck while our kids went down to beach comb. The property is clean, comfortable and quiet! A perfect retreat!

Family of Four Vacation for a Week

The views from this home alone are worth six stars. Each morning we were treated to outstanding sunrises and wildlife such as eagles, seals, and porpoises right there on the dock. There were a few minor issues such as the property’s gate being sticky and difficult and the kitchenware being bare bones, but all in all this is a great place for a family to hang out and relax for the week.

This home was perfect for our stay! We came to visit family in Tacoma and never experienced any traffic issues getting to/from Fox Island. The island is 99.999% residential and so very quiet which we enjoyed. Having access to the shoreline to see the hundreds of beautiful starfish was a daily activity. The view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge from the porch was fantastic. The home was beautifully decorated and well-equipped. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful view and awesome little place

The view is spectacular feom this home! We saw so much wildflie whike just hanging out on the porch and kayaking off of the dock. The place has a perfect layout to maximize the small space. Would come back and stay again!

Perfection!

Stayed here while visiting family on the island. Agree with previous reviews, the photos do not do the place justice! Cannot beat the views and easy access to the water. We saw orcas swim by right at the end of the dock, bald eagles, porpoises and seals. My kids loved turning over rocks, finding starfish and looking at the creatures attached to the side of the dock. The perfect place to launch a kayak or paddle board! The beds were comfortable and plenty of space for us in the small house but we honestly spend most of our time outside. Will definitely return again when visiting family. It’s the perfect place to explore Fox Island from!

Excellent property all-around

The cottage was in immaculate condition when we arrived, and the appliances and fixtures were all very nice. Expansive view of the sound with the bridge in the distance, and a good view of Rainier on clear days. The beds were very comfortable. The only caveat is that the seating for dining may not be suitable for 4 individuals. It could be done, but some people would have to sit on a couch while others eat at the kitchen island.

It was a nice stay and the views and setting were great. One thing I would change is to equip the cabin a bit better. Things missing were dish rags and towels for the kitchen, dish soap. There was only 1 wine glass and no broom for cleaning up after ourselves. There was a grill outside but no mention of it or it not being gas, so we couldn’t know to bring charcoal to cook our steaks.

Fox Island May 20 -23, 2025

The house was fantastic, unbelievable view and very relaxing. We suggest an easier lock, it always took us several times to log in the code as the lock would cancel out partway through entering the code. Possibly the battery needs changing? The large gate latch was difficult to open and lock. It would be nice to have more patio furniture, only seating for 2. The bathroom lacked a hair dryer. We found the layout of the home was perfect for a relaxing getaway and hope to return in the future.

Family Stay for the Week

First off, the views this property offers are utterly amazing! The views are worth five stars alone. My husband and I, along with our two kids, stayed here for a week and were able to watch unbelievable sunrises, see eagles, seals, and porpoises almost daily! There are just a few recommendations I’d offer to make this property just a bit more family friendly/easier. 1) it would be useful to have some hooks in the bathroom for towels to dry after a shower, especially when the clean ones are on the towel bars. 2) the property gate likely has shifted or settled and was quite difficult to open and close 3) another set of dishes would be useful for families 4) lastly, we struggled with larger black ants during our stay, particularly in the bathroom vanity area. I understand given the season that insects can be out of property owners control but some traps or what not might be needed at this point.
