We came to visit from Australia and were completely satisfied with the location and the home itself. Communication was fantastic, which really helped to alleviate any concerns or nervousness before we arrived. It truly felt like a home away from home. Book with confidence and enjoy the stay!

Mike has a lovely property. The cottage is older but everything works great. Very spacious and can easily sleep 7 minimum. Lots of room for parking. It was very clean with everything you would need like towels, toiletries, bedding/linen, coffee maker, fridge/ freezer, microwave and lots of dishes. We used the barbecue almost daily. The air conditioning worked well and we were very comfortable. The grounds are well kept with neatly cut grass and lots of space in the back and front. There is a TV and WIFI as well. We set up a badminton net and played everyday. It is very quiet and is on a dead end street so it is perfect if you have young children that want to play outside or ride their bikes on the road that has almost no traffic. The beach is about 5 minutes walk. We drove cause it is easier than carrying everything by hand. Willow beach is lovely but we preferred going to Jackson's point beach because it offered more shade with trees on the beach. The water was lovely at both beaches. It is perfect for young children. You can go out far and the water is just up to your waist and warm. No rocks. Just lovely clean sand. I wouldn't think twice about returning. You can't go wrong for the price. There are quite a few restaurants in Jacksons Point and Keswick with a Walmart and Canadian tire in town only 15 minutes away. Thanks Mike for an awesome week!!!Leisel

Great location, but the cottage is not in great shape
I want to start with the positives because there are some nice aspects to staying here. The convenient location is great, five minutes to beaches, parks, trails, and 15 minutes from stores such as Walmart and Rexall's. The cottage has air conditioning that works really well and there is hot running water and electricity, wifi, and tv.However, the house is questionable with the severely slanted floors, water marks and warped ceilings, and patchy walls that haven't even been repainted. The oven has hanging wires inside of it and is so dirty it's not usable, so be prepared to BBQ everything. The spiders have quite literally taken over the cottage, there was so many webs and nests infesting the cupboards I have to dust and rewash all the dishes and cutlery before using them. I think we killed at least 8 spiders in the four days we were there. The furniture and the entire cottage is very outdated, the beds feel like you're sleeping on wooden boards, we all slept horribly as a result. We weren't allowed campfires because the owner didn't buy a 50 burn permit for the year, so there's a firepit in the back just to tempt you. When we went to one of the nearby beaches, we were told by the staff there that the owner of the cottage was supposed to leave us a pass so we could park without paying, but we didn't get one so we had to pay to park. We left during a civic holiday and the dumps were closed, so we had to pay extra for him to take the garbage. I also got pink eye day two there.

I'm sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations.
Our cottage is a family-owned, older property located in the countryside, and we aim to provide a simple, comfortable stay with basic amenities. It’s not advertised as a luxury or 5-star rental, but rather as a cozy and rustic getaway — something many of our previous guests have appreciated.
As for the natural environment, being in the countryside does mean the occasional encounter with spiders, bugs, and mosquitoes, which is quite common for the area.
Regarding the beach parking pass: as noted on the official Georgina website (https://www.georgina.ca/living-here/parking/resident-parking-passes), passes are non-transferable and tied to a specific vehicle. We do not advertise that we provide parking passes in our listing. However, there are nearby beaches such as the one on our street (600m away) and Willow Park, which are both walkable and have public access without the need for parking.
The wire you noticed in the oven is part of the built-in thermometer. The mattresses are five years old and firm, in line with general guest preferences and comfort.
At the time of your stay, we did not have a fire permit due to ongoing updates to Georgina’s fire regulations, which we always follow.
Lastly, guests are given the option to take their garbage with them, as disposal services are limited in cottage areas.
We truly hope you find a rental that better suits your preferences in the future.

Great place to stay! From the start of the reservation to the end of our trip, property management was with us all the way, great communication. All necessities and essentials are provided to make your stay enjoyable. Spacious cottage with lots of sleeping areas. The beach is amazing, only a 5-minute walk from the cottage and the water is warm and shallow. Drive for groceries is only 15 minutes away. Would recommend to friends and family.

The property is just as pictured. Very simple furnishings, everything you need to cook etc in the kitchen. All very clean and ready when we arrived. Mike was great at replying to any inquiries we had. We will likely stay again in future.
