About this property

Best Kept Secret in the Columbia Valley!

This Rustic log cabin is set on almost an acre of land, on serene Columbia Lake, and offers unparalleled privacy in a quiet residential neighbourhood.
With unobstructed mountain and lake views, you'll be able to watch the sunset over the lake from the covered deck, or enjoy a fire in the indoor or outdoor wood burning fireplace with friends and family. Located just 20 minutes from Fairmont Hot Springs, you'll enjoy all the area has to offer, in a quiet, natural setting. Worldclass skiing, hiking and golf are all within a 45 minute drive. Boat launch, day use area and beach are just a 10 minute walk away - or drive a little further down the road to enjoy Whiteswan Provincial Park, or Premier Lake. Prefer a more bustling atmosphere? Invermere is just 45 minutes away...with it's unique shopping and dining opportunities. With 3 bedrooms, sleeping for up to 8, and a full bathroom on every floor, there's room for everyone. Our kids love it here and yours will too: play structure, toys, and just good old exploring - it's the perfect place to unplug!

Jen, Chris and family purchased the home partially constructed and have been working on completing it over the last eight years. We relish in our time away at the cabin. We enjoy it so much we wanted to share it with others and help pay for ongoing expenses.

Why they chose this property

We loved camping in the Invermere and Windermere Area but found the area to be a bit busy for us. A friend's parents own a place at Columbia Ridge Estates and we vacationed there with them. When we stumbled upon the area 7 years later we fell in love with the quiet location but appreciated that it was close enough to day trip to the bigger centres of Invermere, Kimberley, and Panorama.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with having the view of the lake from the front window and then the base of the mountain just out the other side of the property. The wildlife is abundant with Bighorn Sheep, Bald Eagles, Deer, Elk, Bears and even the aloof Cougar. The stars from the deck are amazing and the kids often camp out on the deck with their air mattresses.
