Our family had a wonderful and relaxing time here. Our kids (ages 7 and 3) loved the playground, toys, and the wildlife sightings! This is a beautiful home in a beautiful location.
The only thing that could have been better was the weather. It’s historically great weather there, but our stay it was unseasonably rainy…..The property was awesome. We’ll be booking again!

What a great house in a great place. This house was perfect for our family of four. Great living room area on the inside and awesome deck and patio for hanging out in the evening. this house was in a very quiet neighborhood overlooking ap beautiful mountain lake. The Columbia Lake area has great places to visit for any outdoor activities… hiking, swimming, boating or the hot springs.
We had a wonderful time at this property with two families or 4 sharing the house. Plenty of room for all of us - 8 people slept comfortably, shared meals, enjoyed the deck and fire pit, played basketball and took in the views of the lake and roaming sheep. The day area a short drive away by the lake was wonderful and quiet. We enjoyed the location away from more crowded areas like the Okanagan, Shuswap or even Invermere, but make sure to plan meals and/or stop in Invermere to get groceries ahead of time as there are limited services around, which is part of the charm of the place! Highly recommended and would definitely stay there again!
Spent a weekend here it really is one of the best keep secrets. Beautiful property, we went on a few hikes around, spent time in both radium and invermere. Will be back again for a full week at some point!
Guys golf trip. This place is fantastic, hosts are friendly, easy to deal with and have a beautiful piece of the world they are sharing with others. Clean, well appointed, with everything we could have needed. We will be back!
My husband and I loved this beautiful home. Huge for our needs but in the perfect location for us. Well equipped. Great deck and view. Super quiet. And even though we were there in the relatively warm part of the year, the fresh cool night air coming through the windows kept us delightlfully comfortable at night. We explored from Radium Springs to Fernie. The side roads near the home gave access to gorgeous views, fun trails, and a bit of no stress fishing. I hope we can return!
This house has everything you can ask for. We spend 5 nights in December ‘21 , had lots of snow and enjoyed it very much.
Highly recommended for everyone who is looking for a place to relax and savour silence.

Great View!!!
This place was great. Chris, the owner, was really responsive and answered any questions right away. The view of the lake was fantastic and the indoor/outdoor fire places were great to keep the chill off. Games room was a lot of fun and the kitchen was really well equipped.

Thanks for he kind words! We recently temporarily suspended our listing w VRBO. When a group can experience what we love about our vacation property it makes me second guess the decision.
Glad you enjoyed your vacation !

This property was the perfect getaway for our family. We enjoyed family game night on the deck next to the outside fire place. We were able to relax in the morning with a cup of coffee while viewing the lake and big horned sheep that grazed by. The home was spacious and clean.
We loved the cabin and property and the owner’s communication was great. As we visit the area frequently, we will definitely rent again. The only reason we cannot give our stay full stars is that there was some early season renovation work which could not be fully completed before our stay and we had the unfortunate mistiming of the hot water tank coming to its end of life during our trip. The owner Chris did his all to have it repaired within 24 hours on a long weekend, which we greatly appreciated.
The house was very comfortable and the kids had a great time enjoying the playground and the playroom. Basketball was fun. Kitchen was well stocked. The lake was close by and easy to access. Chris and Jennifer were great hosts.
This is a very large cabin/cottage in a very quiet location. There is a ton of room both inside and outside. The lake view is wonderful as is the outside fireplace on the deck to sit by at night. This is a family cottage and not really suited for party stays.
We had a great time at this awesome house! When the water wasn't working, Chris was very quick to respond and help us out. The house was perfect for what we needed, with lots of beds, and a great kitchen. We spent a lot of time outside near the fire as well. House was clean, easy to access!

Nice place!
Nice place to stay. Hosts were good at communicating.
There were some minor "stuff" that could have been better and feedback was given to hosts.
When we arrived wrong code given but did get in touch with host immediately who gave the correct code.
Cottage was big enough for a family of 6 adults and 2 children.
Overall good place to stay.
This property is absolutely amazing with a view to die for!! Coffee on the deck in the morning the deer was so peaceful and relaxing. The pictures on Vrbo do not do this house justice!! Well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, etc. The home and location were just what our family needed for our get away. Thank you Chris and Jennifer for opening your home up to us, it was a pleasure and we will be back the next time we come see family in the Valley 😊

Amazing!
Beautiful home! Amazing location! Quiet, peaceful area. The listing covers it all and more. Thank you so much for opening and sharing your home with us. We loved everything. Our daughter loved the play structure and trampoline. Wish you had satellite t.v. for the rainy days but thankfully there was only one of those. We had a wonderful vacation and hope to stay again next year.
Overall a decent experience!Pros: Property is in a lovely and quiet location. The fire pit area is awesome! The yard is well kept and the lawn furniture is a big bonus! There is also a usable (but dirty) BBQ on the deck. The fridge / stove are nice. The kitchen is well enough equipped to be functional. Cons: The beds all suck. We tried all of them and ended up putting all the blankets / comforters on the upstairs bed. It was still awful but more manageable. A weekend skiing would probably be okay but anything more than a couple nights is not an enjoyable experience. There is no blinds on any of the windows. Lots of big windows means no privacy and with no AC in the summer it is a unenjoyable level of heat inside. The deck fireplace is out of order. Property also has a bit of a musty smell specifically in the entry way but not too overwhelming.

Great place for New Year's get together
We stayed here for the New Year holiday and had a great time. The place was easily big enough to accomodate 8 of us with room to spare. The log style, wood fireplace and open concept created great ambiance for our time there and the kitchen area was big enough for everyone to hang out and get involved in the cooking. Chris was very accomodating even though we was on his own holiday at the time. I would only caution future renters about two things: One, read the black binder when you get there as we had water pressure issues that could have been remedied, and Two, this place will sleep 2 couples nicely in queen beds, the rest are fold outs or futons and cots that are not the most comfortable (although not terrible either) and probably better suited to single sleepers or 2 siblings, but were definitely okay for 2 nights, no real complaint as I got the huge master anyway.
Also visited Lussier Hot Springs, well worth the drive but go early to avoid the crowds. We all agreed that we would love to come back.

Thanks for the review as we'll use this information to improve the next guests stay. The water pressure issue is very intermittent and rarely becomes an issue. Sorry it happened during your stay. We have since discussed with our manager asking that they clean the filter after every check out to eliminate this issue. Like Jason expressed we do have instructions on how to purge the filter and I plan to upload a video on youtube on how to remedy the pressure issue with a visual. Happy Vacationing !
About the host
Hosted by Chris Beecroft
Jen, Chris and family purchased the home partially constructed and have been working on completing it over the last eight years. We relish in our time away at the cabin. We enjoy it so much we wanted to share it with others and help pay for ongoing expenses.
Why they chose this property
We loved camping in the Invermere and Windermere Area but found the area to be a bit busy for us. A friend's parents own a place at Columbia Ridge Estates and we vacationed there with them. When we stumbled upon the area 7 years later we fell in love with the quiet location but appreciated that it was close enough to day trip to the bigger centres of Invermere, Kimberley, and Panorama.
What makes this property unique
We fell in love with having the view of the lake from the front window and then the base of the mountain just out the other side of the property. The wildlife is abundant with Bighorn Sheep, Bald Eagles, Deer, Elk, Bears and even the aloof Cougar. The stars from the deck are amazing and the kids often camp out on the deck with their air mattresses.
