The house was very clean, pet friendly, and had charming and thoughtful decor. We were easily able to walk to downtown Frederick to all the restaurants and shops.

Thank you. You and your family are welcome here anytime.
The kitchen and everything was well appointed. I was able to prepare a wonderful holiday meal. And many thoughtful amenities were provided. We had plenty of blankets, towels were very lush, beds were comfortable and warm. There were extra paper goods, and the holiday decorations were very engaging. Everyone had a fantastic time together and we feel really relaxed in this home away from home!
What an awesome house in a great location. Just a short walk to all of Frederick's shopping, breweries and restaurants, yet far enough away to be quiet at night. We stayed in the front bedroom upstairs and the bed was very comfortable. The house is fun to just hang out in too. We enjoyed checking out Laurie's books, vinyls and art while we were there.

Thank you for your business and appreciation. I hope you return here.
Cool place to stay. Definitely unique. It was perfect for the vibe of the city. Great vinyl collection! Host was very accommodating and also sent back air pods that were accidentally left behind.

Hi Rick, thank you so much for the kind review. I'm glad you liked the LP's. I was happy to mail the airpods. No problem. I hope you will all consider staying here again.
Laurie truly makes her home welcoming to guests. We've stayed in other rentals/VRBOs...they usually feel like a rented place to stay. This doesn't. The house was warm (not too hot, not too cold) on very cold days that we were in town. The beds were also super comfortable...memory foam mattresses (not something cheaply furnished to guests). There were also a ton of other amenities (mints, Amazon Echo music, coffees, teas, kitchen supplies, etc) that made this stay so convenient. Final conclusion, my wife and I have visited Frederick numerous times. If you're coming to town and you want a warm, comfortable, inviting place to stay with lots of conveniences...this is it!

The house is very cute. Feels like home. It has everything you might need. The owner is very attentive. When we arrived, there was a chocolate and a bottle of wine for us.
It’s located 5 minutes walk from the main street with a lot of restaurants.
We enjoyed our stay in this cute house.

2nd Stay at this Home - Hopefully the 2nd of Many!
I have nothing but praise for this property. We loved it so much the first time when we dropped my son off to college, we returned to visit 2 months later. The house is incredibly comfortable & welcoming and the energy is soothing. It truly seems to my family like a home-away-from-home. It is super clean, I LOVE cheffing up in the kitchen, relaxing in the beautiful garden is the best (I can't wait to come back when it's cold enough to have a fire out there in the Chimnea!) It's full of all kinds of treasures as well....I love just wandering around admiring all of he beautiful ceramics, art, books...it's like a very cozy, comfy, nostalgic and quirky museum! Laurie is a fantastic host. Very communicative. All of the rental information is organized for guests upon arrival, so there are very few questions you will need to ask. Just open the door and your fantastic stay begins! Location is perfect. Downtown Frederick is a short walk away - it's a beautiful town, full of shops and great food, super people, very safe. Can't wait to go back!

Ginny, your handwritten note in my guest book made me tear up. Your daughter is so cute. You are primo guests. Thank you for taking such good care of the house and l oving it. Please come back again.
We were in Frederick dropping off my son for his first year of college, so I thought to offset the sadness we would make a little vacation out of it! This home was absolutely perfect. The energy is SO peaceful, amenities abound, magical garden, beds, pillows and sheets SOOOOO comfy. The home is filled with beautiful ceramics, fantastic art, beautiful little surprises everywhere. My daughter and I listened to records (Led Zeppelin, Sarah Vaughn, Carly Simon), learned how to make French Press coffee and tea (the coffee/tea situation is outrageous!!!!!), and perused the amazing library - so many fascinating books. Kitchen is perfect - new appliances, spices....everything you need and more! We love the town of Frederick and to be able to walk there was sensational. Our host was so communicative and always available to answer questions. My daughter (16y) summed it up perfectly....she says "One of the most creatively inspiring places" she has ever stayed! Can't wait to return!

Wow. What a great review. You are kind and your daughter is inspiring me to be even more creative ! I have to hold back because of lack of space and I dislike clutter! Years of running estate sales and doing personal organizing have honed my skills. See you again soon!

I'm the owner operator of EstateMAX, one of the DC Metro areas premiere move management and estate sale companies. In business since 1999 and renting as Maryland Homeaway in Frederick MD since 2006. Educated and worked in design and commercial project management and art sales for 25 years before starting EstateMAX.
Why they chose this property
A great neighborhood for walking running, biking, dog walking, a community park, with a central park green space of the MD School for the Deaf campus with the Hessian Barracks. 2 blocks to Carroll Creek Linear Park, restaurants, The Civil War Medicine Museum, the Delaplaine Arts Center, the Book Arts Center, a great barber shop and electric bike rental. Lots of Craft breweries and distilleries off of Carroll Creek. It is the Quiet and classy south side of downtown Frederick Md.
What makes this property unique
I created an urban oasis on my property, starting in 2006 and working on it on-going. The Frederick Urban Growers garden is in the back lot, a constant project. We are situated across two corners from the Maryland School of the Deaf Campus, a European Park-like environment. This is the south end of the historic district- a quiet, a little quirky, end-of-the-block home, with it's own parking, a patio, and outdoor spaces, and only a block to Carroll Creek Linear Park. There is a swing set and ball field at Harmon Park a half block away and we are adjacent to the big Victorian homes on Clarke Place. We have gone "solar" last year. The house is decorated with estate sale finds that I've carefully selected and combined. It's unusual and artsy. Cleaning is done after every guest stay. Beds are comfortable and extra twin is available upon request for 2nd floor. Off street parking is on site for one vehicle, a rare find in the historic district of Frederick Md.
