Welcome to Mallards Landing on Waneta Lake! Offering 4 bedrooms (plus additional sleeping space) and 2 ½ bathrooms! Great for families looking for a fun relaxing time at the lake! Many outdoor amenities including a dock, fire pit, multi-level deck and a hot tub to enjoy the beautiful lake views and amazing sunsets. We are also pet friendly!

Why we love Waneta Lake!
We enjoy the peaceful setting and all the wildlife. Whether it’s a Mallard, Heron, turtle, or a large fish, everyday there is something new to see! If you love to fish, Waneta is the perfect lake! There are so many species, including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, muskies, yellow perch, bluegill, and many more!

Why we chose this cottage!
We were looking for a property large enough for our guests to enjoy their vacations with their extended families, multiple families, or larger groups of friends! We also love the location! It is so peaceful and relaxing but if you’re looking for fun Finger lakes experiences, the cottage is centrally located to Watkins Glen (13 miles away), Hammondsport (9 miles away), and Penn Yan (17 miles away). It is also very close to so many amazing wineries, restaurants, and distilleries, including Weis Vineyards, New York State’s Winery of the Year in 2022 (5.5 miles away) and The Switzerland Inn Restaurant (5.2 miles away)!

A little about us!
We are a husband-and-wife team who have managed The Lazy Loon Cottage on Keuka Lake for the last 4 years. We have had a great time hosting our guests over the years and we have decided to start a new venture on Waneta Lake!

What sets us apart?
We both were born and raised in the Finger Lakes area and love raising our 7 year old daughter here! We also feel it is important to share that we enjoy spending time at our rentals when we do not have guests. We were excited about Mallards Landing because it’s large enough for us to have our extended family all together in one house! What better way to ensure the best vacation for our guests than by living the same experience!

This cottage is great for vacationing during all four seasons. Central heating/ AC system for the entire cottage will keep you warm during your fall and winter stays and cool during the summer. Come spend the Fall at our cottage and enjoy the beautiful colorful fall leaves while wine tasting at all the local wineries, sipping your favorite microbrew at the many area breweries, or just relaxing. Mallards Landing Cottage is the perfect retreat for any season!
