About the host

Hosted by Cody Johns

Host profile image
I am a local Eureka resident. I love the outdoor scene in Humboldt, and enjoy white water kayaking, deep sea fishing, distance hiking, and disk golf. Frequent projects to restore and upgrade this 1906 home is a labor of love, and I'm grateful to my short term renters who help make this possible!

Why they chose this property

Being on a named street in Eureka means little traffic. This is a quiet family neighborhood, and the neighbors are friendly while also respecting privacy.

What makes this property unique

The Water Wheel and sun porch are the standout features of the home. It's a quirky old place, and I try to fuse the Victorian charm with modern upgrades for comfort and practicality.
