Lake access depends on season and town regulations. During winter drawdown (typically Nov 1 – March 31), water levels may be low and boats stored. Swimming is not always available, but canoeing and kayaking are permitted when water levels allow.



➤ Is the dock private?

Yes, the dock is for Hummingbird House guests only. Please follow posted signage and safety instructions.



➤ Is the driveway difficult?

The driveway is short but steep. If you’re uncomfortable driving down it, you may park at the top left of the driveway.



➤ Is the home suitable for guests with mobility concerns?

The interior staircase to the loft bedroom is narrow and requires ducking in places. Please review photos carefully and reach out with any questions before booking.



➤ How far is Chimney Rock?

Chimney Rock State Park is just 6 minutes away.



➤ What’s the WiFi like?

WiFi is available and suitable for streaming and remote work, though speeds may vary due to the mountain/lake location.

Guests have full access to The Hummingbird House, patios, yard, fire pit, and private dock (please follow posted signage). Canoe and kayak are available when lake levels permit.

Located in a quiet, beautiful cove of Lake Lure, this property offers privacy while still being close to everything the area has to offer. Neighboring homes are nearby, but spacing allows you to feel tucked into your own peaceful slice of the lake. Lake Lure is small, scenic, and full of charm—perfect for relaxing getaways.



Getting Around:

Everything from hiking to ice cream to boat rentals is within a 15-minute drive. Free parking



Other Things to Note:

• Due to lake closure, all in-water activities are paused until May 2026.

• Firewood not included.

• All stays under 28 nights include free daily attraction tickets via Xplorie.
