Juan was very responsive every time I reached out. The home is gorgeous with incredible views. We are a group of 6 women who have been friends for 50 years. We especially appreciated the fully stocked kitchen, the comfortable gathering spaces, and the stunnjng home furnishings. Juan recommended two restaurants (Feast and Floret and The Maker) which we thoroughly enjoyed and we give them 5 stars as well. Everything was perfect!

This is an exceptional property. Beautifully restored vintage home, professionally decorated, spectacular views of the Hudson River, Olana and the Rip Van Winkle bridge - what’s not to love. Juan, the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Great yourself and your family and book a stay here.

Great property for vacation time. Very convenient location, both door dash and instacart deliver to this location. The property has such rich history, quaint and so beautiful. You can see Olana across the river too. The house is also modernized and the whole family enjoyed the stay.

If you want to live out your fantasy of living in the Hudson Valley I can’t think of a more incredible home to do that in. Juan’s home is beyond compare - the location, the view, THE HOUSE, the pool, the wildlife, the proximity to NYC style shopping and dining make one freaking fabulous getaway. With all there is to do in the nearby surrounding towns you might find yourself never wanting to leave the house it is THAT stunning. Bring your favorite people here and enjoy every second of it. We certainly did.

Loved the house, property, proximity to Hudson, proximity to hiking, communication with owner and the fact that it was dog friendly. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

It's honestly impossible to imagine a more beautiful, comfortable, or thoughtful stay. The property couldn't be more convenient to everything you'd want to explore in the Hudson Valley, but with those breathtaking river views (and that pool!), who would want to leave for long? Our stay was absolutely perfect—excellent communication, easy check in/check out, and clear house guidelines. It really felt like an honor to spend time in a home that was restored with such love, care, and vision. 10000/10!

I booked this house for a small team retreat for my interior design firm. The house was extremely clean, which is one of the most important things for me. The kitchen was very well stocked with appliances and tools, everything the chef needed to cook for 5 for a long weekend. The linens and beds were comfortable and the bathrooms spacious and luxurious. I think one of the most important things to note is this house felt lived in and cared for. It is not a typical vacation rental that feels bare bones or furnished to be a rental. The home exceeded my expectations in this category. Location was also great for shopping in Hudson, and on Sunday we walked to the Catskill farmers market and Main Street shopping. We would stay here again.

Beautiful Home Overlooking Rip Van Winkle Bridge

Beautifully designed (inside and out) property in a secluded location overlooking the striking Rip Van Winkle Bridge. Amazing attention to detail inside the property and a wonderful garden and pool to spend the warm summer days in. Close to Hudson and lots of great restaurants in towns nearby. Perfect place for a family holiday and wonderful memories.

Lovely home, gracious host, beautiful location

This home is a gem! We stayed here to attend my daughters wedding in Hudson The views from this house are magnificent! The home itself is warm and inviting. Juan is a perfect host and communicated everything we needed to know. I will definitely be visiting this area of NY again and 100% would stay here.

Repeat visit

We rent a house with friends every summer. This is the first house we have returned to. It is a lovely property with plenty of space for 3 couples. The kitchen is huge and well equipped. The location is great for outdoors activities and for visiting Hudson Valley towns. The host is thoughtful. Highly recommend this home.

Perfect Farmhouse with Gorgeous View

This historic farmhouse has been perfectly restored and beautifully decorated. We were in town for the HITS horse show in Saugerties and looked forward to returning to this gorgeous house at the end of each day. It has the most incredible view of the Rip Van Winkle bridge and is close to the charming town of Hudson. We have stayed in some beautiful homes over the years, but this is our favorite!

Amazing home!

Juan's home in Catskill is a wonderful respite. The design is outstanding, and especially great for chefs, of which we had 4 cooking a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. The home, the design, the views, and the cozy, chic vibe was a tremendous gift. We recharged, restored our souls and had the best time. I highly recommend Windmere! -Wendy Maitland

Amazing getaway

We had a fantastic experience, from the booking process to check in and all through our stay. Juan was responsive and great to communicate with and the house itself was spectacular. The views and location can’t be beat and the house was perfect for relaxing whether by the pool, on the porch, in the living room or in the kitchen while cooking. Every time we turned around we noticed another piece of art or little touch that added to the experience. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again!

Luxury and charm in the Hudson Valley

Juan's home on the Hudson river is absolutely stunning. The renovation of the house is so well done, with spectacular views across the Hudson river and to Olana. The decor and furnishings are beautiful. We loved gathering for a meal along the hugest kitchen island I've ever seen. It is a quick drive into Hudson but it was hard for our group to tear ourselves away from the house. We hope to return one day!

Christmas in the Catskills

While the summertime is the perfect time to visit this property with the pool, beautiful landscape and view of the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, we enjoyed a wonderful few days over the Christmas holidays in this very special home. It may have been cold outside but we were very comfortable inside cooking in the big, well equipped kitchen, reading books and playing board games. From the house it's an easy drive to various hiking trails and we got out for a hike everyday. It's also only a few minutes drive to Hudson for shopping and great restaurants. After a packed day of activity we slept well in the comfortable beds and particularly enjoyed the heated bathroom floors. The detailed instructions provided were incredibly helpful and thorough to make our stay all that much easier from checkiin to check-out.

A One Of A Kind Property

The property is truly beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The grounds to the interior - everything is well curated. It feels like a homely museum. Communication with the property owner was flawless. He was very responsive and very kind. The instructions provided before the stay was also very thorough and well thought out. My family and I enjoyed our time there thoroughly. The beds in all of the rooms were quite comfortable as well as the couches in the living spaces. Although spring is just blooming, we used the outside seating the entire stay. The sunrise and sunsets are breathtaking as the Sun hits the bridge. The property is even beautiful when it rains. I was able to sip my tea as I sat on the bench on the wrap around porch when the rain came down. Truly a magical stay. I cannot wait to go back.

Wonderful!

Our group of friends (3 couples) has rented many vacation homes over the years, and this one is a favorite. The house is well designed and beautifully appointed, with a lovely view of the river. It is filled with art and beautiful objects, but still very comfortable. There is plenty of space, with many separate areas both inside and outdoors, so everyone can gather or find solitude as they wish. Both Catskill and Hudson are within minutes, and great hikes and other activities are nearby. Juan is a responsive and gracious host.

Designer Gem

Juan’s historic home is beautifully decorated and designed, and is in a great location just a few blocks from the RVW Bridge. The house has a great view of the bridge and a delightful swimming pool. The house generally, and the beds in particular, are very comfortable. Only downsides were the house is a bit dark, there is no cable TV and one of the benches by the pool cracked when it was sat upon. These were minor annoyances, however, given the home’s considerable advantages.

Fabulous property!

Juan’s house is absolutely stunning- the house itself, the property as a whole, and the setting. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen was a delight to work in. Very well-equipped with high end appliances, utensils, pots and pans, and an abundance of dishes. We also grilled a fair amount, which was great. The living spaces are good for hanging out and talking. Comfortable sofas and chairs, with beautiful views of the Rip van Winkle bridge over the Hudson. Outdoor seating areas are also nice. We did not dine at the outdoor table, but it looked like that would be comfortable. The pool was a delight! Not heated, but plenty warm this time of year. Very clean and nicely appointed with comfortable seating and umbrellas. The pool area and lawn around it are completely fenced in, so safe to have kids around outside without fear of them falling in. The bedrooms are beautiful and the beds were very comfortable- my 88 year old father slept in the downstairs room so he did not have to navigate the steps. There is a small playground behind the church next door that our granddaughter enjoyed, and there is a nice waterfront park a little over a mile away. We brought our dog, and he LOVED playing fetch in the enormous yard and running up and down the hill in the back! Last but not least, there were virtually NO mosquitoes!!!

Absolutely Stunning

The house, decor, and location where absolutely amazing. There were 8 of us (4 adults and 4 kids). There was plenty of space inside and an incredible yard. The home is only 10 minutes drive to Hudson. Juan was lovely and always available for any questions. Hope to go back sometime!
