Holcroft is a private, 65-acre country estate on the Hudson River in Columbia County, offering old-world charm and elegance, as well as spectacular sunsets over the Hudson and the Catskill Mountains. It provides a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to spend a weekend, a week, or more in a secluded and country mansion, relaxing with family and friends.
The house is located 7 miles from Bard College and is a perfect accommodation for families attending Bard College Graduations.
Accommodations include a master en-suite, a guest en-suite, and two bedrooms that share a full bath. Additional rooms upon request.
Kitchen with gas range, and views of the Hudson River; pantry with dishwasher, washer/dryer. Large, 800 square foot drawing room with period furniture and portraits plus a fireplace, and a formal dining room with seating for 10.
Porch with marble table and outdoor shaded seating for 10, plus incomparable views of ocean-going and smaller watercraft on the ever-changing tidal currents of the Hudson River. In-ground, fenced pool with views of the Hudson and Catskills. Expansive lawns for croquet, frisbee, wiffle ball, and other outdoor pursuits. Professionally landscaped gardens throughout the property, walking paths to explore, including the mile-long driveway.

I grew up spending weekends, school holidays, and all summer in this house. Holcroft is a special place, one I like to share with others.
What makes this property unique
With a mile-long driveway, one can feel like they are in their own world, secluded from all that is going on. A 5-minute car ride and one can enjoy the quaint villages of Tivoli and Germantown. Drive 15 minutes more, and you can visit Hudson or Rhinebeck. Or, you can choose to read on the porch, swim in the pool, and watch the boats go by on the Hudson River.
