Interestingly, a jellyfish in street slang is someone without resolve and spineless. This home welcomes friends and families for vacations, but also hosts Hope For The Journey EMDR counseling retreats where individuals and couples can let go of what's holding them back and heal. Clients have to show grit, but post healing often remark that they feel stronger, with greater resolve and sense of purpose. Hence, the name Don't Be Jelly!

We are honored for you to share our space and hope that you enjoy it as much as we do. From the fully stocked kitchen to local art on the walls, it is important for our guests to have a space where they can truly let go of their worries and reset.

Pirates Beach is a well-loved vacation spot in Galveston Island. It's a quick 15-20 minute ride along the beautiful coast into Galveston proper where you can enjoy the awesome history of Galveston, great meals, live music, and fun for the kids at the Pleasure Pier or Moody Gardens.

But the neighborhood itself is great, too. There's ice cream trucks that come by regularly for the kids, great restaurants, and of course, the beach. Golf carts are available with drop off/pick up available right to the house. What more could you ask for?
