The house was as advertised and exceeded our expectations. The open floor plan and large kitchen made it very welcoming for our group. The bedrooms were well maintained and comfortable. The bathrooms are updated and in great condition. The heat was on a timer so even though we got in late on a Friday in the winter, the house was warm and ready for us. The basement game room was fun for the kids and the adults too. It was a great stay.
A very nice house with attentive and thoughtful owners. Everything you need for a comfortable stay is made available, with comfortable beds, linens, and cooking accessories. The pool is great, and our entire family, including the kids enjoyed it every day. We explored the local area which is quite beautiful, and this house is a great base to work from. We would definitely stay here again. Next time we’re in the area I highly recommend it.
Close to Bash Bish Falls and Great Barrington. This home was perfect for a family gathering with many amenities and a large modern kitchen with center island seating.
The Shiffs have a lovely home and it is as described in the listing. The pool was so nicely tended to -and the salt water great. We cooked a lot at the house -and they have everything you need plus. The area is kind of private but we met the next door neighbor and tried some of their delicious dumplings. I would definitely recommend and rent again if staying in this area.
It was a relaxing week to decompress. The owners were great in recommending activities for us to look at. We ended up going to a concert at Tanglewood for my birthday. Even though it rained alot during our stay we were able to use the pool on several days and enjoyed exploring the surrounding areas. Also enjoyed the games in the basement.
Wonderful home, fantastic pool, great place to relax and enjoy the company of friends or family. The house is perfectly stocked with all necessities. First VRBO rental that I can recall where we didn't have a single problem to deal with. Jay was super helpful and accommodating. A pleasure to deal with. Will definitely return. Highly recommended.
This house has everything you could want and more. I spent one week here, along with my husband and two young adult children. We thoroughly enjoyed the salt water pool and well appointed kitchen and game room in the basement. The house is ideally located between Great Barrington, MA and Hudson, NY. It is close to Catamount mountain which offers a fun aerial adventure park. There’s a brewery nearby called Roe Jan which I highly recommend. The hosts provided lots of useful information about the area and were very receptive to questions. We would go back in a heartbeat!
We had a great stay with our family. Our son and his fiancee and our other son, his wife, and two children stayed with us for several days out of the week. The house was very comfortable for the 8 of us both inside and out. The kitchen was amazingly well stocked, although we ended up not doing much cooking. We have gone to Stockbridge every summer for at least 10 years, and this was the first time we stayed outside that area. Nevertheless, there was plenty to do near the house (hiking, restaurants) and it wasn't a long drive to Great Barrington and Lenox. We went to theater in Pittsfield one evening, and the trip was less than an hour. The hosts were very helpful in answering questions and suggesting restaurants. Also, as mentioned by other reviewers, the basement was well stocked with games such as ping pong, foos ball, knock hockey, and a basketball game. Our grandchildren spent most of their time in the swimming pool. We enjoyed having coffee each morning in the gazebo which provided shelter from bugs but the ability to be outdoors. It was a very enjoyable week and the house was everything we hoped for.
Our extended family (5 adults and 2 kids) spent a comfortable week at this spacious home. The saltwater pool was lovely and very private - a great treat on a warm summer afternoon or at the end of a busy day of fun in the Berkshires!
We had a lovely time in this home! It was exactly as described with tons of kitchen supplies, cozy beds, and beautiful fall foliage! The kids especially enjoyed playing basketball in the driveway (an unexpected plus!)
Had a great experience at this home in Copake, NY. With a heated pool and basement game room we didn’t even have to leave to entertain our two young kids (2 and 5). Plenty of room to spread out as well and a great location.
My husband and I and our 3 boys, ages 11, 14 and 17 spent a long weekend at Amy's house 2 weeks ago. The house is very comfortable, very clean, great kitchen, everything was perfect. Amy's instructions were easy to follow and she was very responsive. Great basement with games to keep the boys entertained. The area is lovely too, I recommend the Catamount Mountain Adventure park and Zip line.
Every summer we rent a house and I have to say this was by far the nicest. The owners truly thought of everything and nothing is missing -- they ever have towels for the pool so you don't have to bring your own. The pool itself was amazingly clean and the grounds were incredibly private. They even have bikes to use. It is located about 10 minutes from great hiking and less than 5 minutes from boating and waterskiing. The house has a game room and tons of toys if you have small children. Its really a great vacation spot for families. The house was spotless clean, the beds were very comfortable and the towels were plush. The owners were incredibly nice. We have nothing but good things to say about it and we really look forwrd to going back.
We loved our stay at your house. We did not do much sightseeing since we were there to rest and recuperate, three adults and a three year old child. Having a pool there just for us, right at the door, was just wonderful and more than made up for the fact that Copake Lake is private unless you rent a motor boat. And the house was well-equipped with what we needed. We would definitely go there again.
The house is nestled into the woods and very private. The pool added immensely to our enjoyment. The house is very well equipped and conveniently located to Copake Lake. Great Barrington is about 10 miles away and has much to offer. When we needed to contact the owners, we found them to be very responsive.
This was the perfect place to stay for a family get-together with a wide range in children's ages. Good spaces for people to be together in small or large groups or to be alone. Amenities for all, including cooking, pool activities, an incredible basement activity room (for various ages). Nearby interests (for us, a great farmers market, Taconic state park, interesting stores and a great restaurant.

Comfy Get Away
This place is great for gatherings and has plenty of space to entertain. The kitchen is large and open ups to the living room with a fireplace. The outside has a great porch and gazebo and lots of places to sit around the heated pool. This place was very relaxing and felt right at home! The owners are friendly and were quick to respond to any questions.

really just perfect.
We really enjoyed our stay. The game room down stairs was so fun for the kids. The rooms were clean, cute, and the beds were comfortable. Amy (the owner) was very helpful, kind, and was wonderful with responding to my texts. I hope we will be spending more time in this adorable home with fabulous views.

All the comforts of home and more!
Rented this lovely home for my family of 6 adults and it worked out perfectly. The home is as described. Loved the open concept kitchen and living room. Loved that the kitchen was well equipped with basic condiments, pots, pans, cleaning supplies. The game room in the basement was fun as was the salt water pool with floats and towels. The screened gazebo was an attractive feature. The garage had all the sporting equipment you would want including extra sets of golf clubs. Glad the owners' instructions are detailed and complete. Despite no AC in MBR, there was a ceiling fan that helped a lot. The AC in the kitchen cooled off the main living area and the ACs upstairs worked perfectly. The setting is quiet and woodsy but conveniently located to Copake Lake where we rented a pontoon boat. Dined at John Andrews & The Greens. Both were excellent. The Copake Lake Golf Course was challenging. Bash Bish Falls was spectacular as was star gazing in the backyard. (and if you need a hair salon, Ronda's, around the corner on Rt. 23 was perfect) The owners were responsive to texts asking for local recommendations. The damage deposit was refunded within 5 days! It felt like the owners are not just renting you their home, they equip it and help you so you will have a great time!

Amazing property and location for families and adults, and very pleasant to deal with!
Perfect! We stayed with our children of varying ages, and everyone had an incredible time. The house is so clean, comfortable, and pleasant, and is fully stocked with toys, games, and entertainment for a wide spectrum of ages and interests. The pool was clean and warm and we spent several hours a day swimming. The patios, hammocks, and gazebo really create a great setting for outdoor relaxation, and the basement gameroom with pingpong, fusbol, hockey, hoops kept the kids busy. A real highlight was the immediate and wider surroundings. The property has beautiful foliage and privacy, and the nearby lake in view adds to the charm. There are fun and wonderful attractions nearby including stream and waterfall hikes, state parks with boating, and much more. The hosts were wonderful to deal with, and such clear instructions were provided that we didnt even need to reach out for anything, but Amy did periodically email to check if we were good, which was appreciated. I would go again, and I agreed with my children and wife that this was the best home rental experience we ever had. FIVE STARS!!!!!
