The Space:

Meet No. 7—one of our newly redesigned studios at The Flats. This cozy queen studio has been individually styled with rich tones, warm textures and thoughtful details that give it a personality all its own.



Located on East Sherman Avenue just minutes from downtown Coeur d’Alene and Lake Coeur d’Alene, No. 7 is an easy home base for a weekend getaway, business trip, event, overnight stop or longer visit to North Idaho. The Sherman Avenue food trucks are right next door, and downtown dining, shopping, breweries, the lake and some of CDA’s most popular attractions are only minutes away.



No. 7 is intentionally compact, but we’ve made the most of the space. The studio features a comfortable queen bed, blackout curtains, a full-length mirror, bedside tables with convenient charging access, luggage storage, a white-noise machine and a large flat-screen TV. A small table for two gives you a convenient place for breakfast, takeout, morning coffee or catching up on work.



The kitchenette is equipped with a mini refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, countertop ice maker, cupboard space and a small set of dishes. Complimentary coffee and tea are provided, so you can start your morning without immediately heading out the door.



We’ve also included some of those little things that are surprisingly easy to forget when traveling. No. 7 comes stocked with complimentary toothbrush and comb kits, lip balm, eye masks and personal care kits containing Q-tips, a hair tie and flossers. Your private bathroom includes fresh towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap.



Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is included, and arrival is simple with contactless self check-in. You’ll receive a unique keypad code before your stay, so there are no keys to pick up or front desk to visit.

No. 7 is one of just 12 studios at The Flats, a longtime East Sherman Avenue property that has been welcoming travelers to Coeur d’Alene for generations.



Today, The Flats is locally and professionally managed by CDA Vacation Rentals, and we’re continuing to give this little CDA property a new chapter one room at a time. Rather than creating 12 identical hotel rooms, we’re gradually adding more personality, comfort and thoughtful details to the individual studios—and No. 7 is one of the first to receive its own completely refreshed look.



You get the simplicity and independence of a classic roadside stay with the conveniences travelers expect today: private accommodations, keyless entry, Wi-Fi and a local team nearby if you need us.



LOCATION



The Flats sits directly on East Sherman Avenue, just a few minutes from downtown Coeur d’Alene, Lake Coeur d’Alene and the Coeur d’Alene Resort.



The Sherman Avenue food trucks are right next door, making it especially easy to grab lunch or dinner close to your room. Head a few minutes toward downtown and you’ll find restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, shopping, nightlife and year-round events.



For outdoor adventures, Lake Coeur d’Alene, Tubbs Hill and the Centennial Trail are all nearby. Kootenai Health is approximately 7 minutes away, making The Flats a convenient option for traveling professionals, hospital visitors and extended stays.



If you’re exploring farther around North Idaho, Triple Play is approximately 15 minutes away, Silverwood Theme Park is about 30 minutes away and Silver Mountain is approximately 35 minutes away. Spokane International Airport (GEG) is approximately a 45-minute drive.



PARKING



Our on-site parking lot is small and spaces within the lot are limited. However, there is ample free parking immediately next to and in front of the building, giving guests convenient additional options when the main lot is full.



PETS



No. 7 is dog friendly. Dogs are welcome with a $50 pet fee per stay and must be included with your reservation. Sorry, we do not allow cats.



GOOD TO KNOW



The Flats is a small, locally managed 12-room property rather than a traditional full-service hotel. There is no front desk. Instead, you’ll enjoy easy self check-in and the privacy of having your own studio, with the reassurance of a local team available if you need assistance.



There are no guest laundry facilities inside the building, but a laundromat is conveniently located approximately one block away.



Standard check-in is 4:00 PM and checkout is 10:00 AM. When our reservation and cleaning schedules allow, a 2:00 PM early check-in or noon late checkout may be available for $25. Early arrivals and late departures must be requested and confirmed in advance.

Whether you're coming to CDA for the lake, a weekend downtown, a concert or event, work, or simply passing through North Idaho, No. 7 gives you a comfortable and thoughtfully equipped little space to call your own.



It may be one of the smaller places you'll stay in Coeur d’Alene, but that's part of what we love about it. We've focused on making the space feel intentional, welcoming and easy—with the little extras that can make a short stay surprisingly comfortable.
