It was a great stay that accommodated our group of 10 very well! It’s approximately 25 minutes from Bar Harbor and 10 minutes from Bass Harbor Lighthouse. The hosts were great and very responsive.
The kitchen had everything we needed and the house accommodated our group of 10 perfectly, especially with the game room! The location was exceptional because of proximity to hiking trails and Bar Harbor. We loved our stay!
Communication with the host was excellent. We were well-informed and prepared for our stay. The house was just as expected. We had a very restful time.
We had a great stay at the property with friends and had a great fun!!. The house is nicely maintained and kids got to enjoy a lot because of the spacious back yard and the games provided.Had a fun night star gazing because of the clean sky alongside the camp fire spot.
We were a large group of extended family and everyone was happy with the house. The game/TV room was a great bonus for the teenagers, during our down time. We enjoyed the firepit and having a kitchen to make meals.
We just got back from our two night stay in this beautiful home. It had everything we needed to make our stay easy! There was plenty of space for all four families to unwind after the kids played in their basketball tournament. The host was very reachable during our stay when we had questions! Would definitely rent from them again!
The property was clean and inviting and had all the amenities we needed. It was also not too far from Acadia National Park, only 9 minutes from Bass Harbor Lighthouse. There were 10 of us plus our baby. Would definitely go back.
Our host was very responsive and quick to answer questions! Loved that. All of the rooms had king singed beds and I slept very well in the loft space. It was really nice having laundry on site, especially after burning a fire out back. I do think the pricing is a bit high. While the place is very large, it could definitely use some updating to feel the value met the price. The pool queues were missing tips, so we didn’t get much use of that amenity. It would have been nice to have more cleaning supplies and a vacuum available, to keep up after ourselves. All in all we had a nice stay and I would recommend!
The pictures are accurate, the accommodations lovely. Plenty of beds. We had 10 people, if you had a full house, only having 2.5 bathrooms might be tricky. Game room was nice, as was having several gathering areas. Super short checkout list (yay!), great location for exploring Acadia. 100% would rent again!
The property was nice and private. Didn't get to use the yard as it was cold and snowy. Watching the deer come out of the woods was special. We have a large family and the house was perfect. we even had a Christmas tree.
We had a great time and used almost everything the house has to offer. The fire pit, pool table, bbq, etc. all appliances are brand new. Same as kitchen ware, etc. location was 5 mins away from Southwest Harbor. About 30 mins from larger Bar Harbour and Acadia. It was not a problem for us since we were not looking to be close to a larger city. Host was responsive and instructions spot on. Would totally recommend.
My daughter really wanted to do the New Year's Day sunrise hike at Cadillac Mountain in Acadia. So, we looked for a home in the area that would accommodate our family. As it turns out, we had fewer people than we originally anticipated but the house was perfect anyway! The property is inviting and the photos accurately portray the lovely decor! The communication from the host is friendly, concise, and clear. They are responsive to any inquiries in a very timely manner. I am now looking forward to returning in the summer months and would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
The location was nice, end of the road, quiet. Nice arrangement. Appreciated the refinished attached garage for gathering of adults after children went to bed. Nice back yard, fire pit was nice to have. Check out was easy- no real expectations. Nice to have washer and dryer on site. Just a few suggestions to consider making this a top destination for the price- be sure guests know any needed supplies like toilet paper, paper towels, propane are provided and can be delivered by the host as needed. I’d have enough towels for the people staying, and larger. Include scissors, hot pads, and more kitchen towels, etc. Consider supplying firewood as well. Overall nice stay, but could use some amenities for the price that is paid.
We loved it! Period! Great place with a ton of space and very quiet and private. We enjoyed time by the outdoor fire pit as well as the gas fire table on the back porch. It's very close to Southwest Harbor and plenty of convience stores. The local IGA grocery store is a great addition to the area. And the nearby Seaside Dairy Bar & Lobster Bar is a hidden gem! Go get great food and ice cream!Be aware that the lane to the house is strictly monitored for speed and neighbors who are weary of the constant renters. We had NO problems and were very respectful of them. So, treat others with respect and enjoy life!We would absolutely rent this place again! There is another rental nearby and yet it's quite possible you will see them. Not an issue however. The listing is very accurate and there's plenty to do onsite if you just want to relax with family and friends. If you want a party scene and "rock the neighborhood", go elsewhere. This place is meant for memorable time together and just enjoying the beautiful Maine life.Note there are a lot of mosquitoes, so bring protection. We had plenty of repellents, so was manageable. If you take a walk into the woods below the property, know it's even worse. With proper planning it isn't a problem. We used the grill, kitchen, and game room a lot! We did puzzles, ate lobster, and played games on the large dining room table. Just fantastic fun together!
