Unfortunately I am unable to provide information about my stay as I never stayed due to the Kona Storm that hit the Hawaiian Islands. We were unable to travel to Kona from the Island of Lanai because of boat and flight cancellations. Additionally to that it was disappointing that I was unable to switch dates or obtain a refund for this stay. I contacted the host who was unaccommodating to our circumstance. I am hoping they make right of this situation.

This guest never stayed at the home, so their rating is not based on the condition, cleanliness, or overall experience of the property. Only their misunderstanding of the cancelation policy.
Yes, uphold a cancellation policy that is clearly stated on our listing. This is standard for large homes that require advance booking.
If a guest needs last minute flexibility, a hotel is a better fit. Marylou’s group chose our home because it accommodates up to 13 guests, which would require 6 to 7 hotel rooms at a much higher cost. Our home offers strong value for large groups, which is why it was booked.
It is also important to note the guest contacted us about 25 days prior to arrival requesting to cancel which shows they clearly were looking for ways to cancel and place the burden on us. They booked and held our apartment for months, blocking other people from booking and wanted to cancel the night before. March is our peak season so as a small family owned business we do not feel it is our responsibility to treat them different than anyone else. We are fair, transparent, and consistent with all guests.
The guest’s communication toward us was also very unpleasant, to the point of them calling us names. Unfortunately, their rating only reflects their anger about our cancellation policy.
We are proud of the many great experiences guests have had at our property.

Enjoyed our stay. The condo was well stocked for the beach. There was a lot of space for the ten of us. The kitchen was spacious. It is in a great location, close to the pool. We would definitely stay there again.
Condo is as advertised. This was our family's 2nd stay in this large unit. We held our family reunion here and it was perfect for our multi-generational gathering. This was an excellent value considering the size of the unit and access to Paniolo Grenns amenities.
The unit is in a great location: close to many of the nice beaches on the Kona side. The host, Maddy, answered every question very fast and even helped with an issue getting in to start the trip. Plenty of space for a group of 12...
Had a good stay, weren’t enough glasses and wash rags 1 e-mail to property owner and that was fixed that day. Clean, a lot of rooms and 2 sets of washer and dryer.

Maintenance issues. Broken things tvs not work and poor internet. Maybe update router and too many other routers on same frequency. Couches were super comfy. Just 1 leg rest not working. And front load washer moldy. Overall enjoyed are stay. Just the correcting maintenance issues would make it an excellent stay. Mahlo nui loa

This was an epic vacation that had been planned and attempted over the years since 2014. COVID messed ups the last try but finally 2025 we had success. We found this home and thought there was no way it could possibly hold all of us but we were wrong. 6 bedroom and 4 baths, pool onsite, We were close to family who live in Waikoloa and close to all the activities we may have thought about doing. The owners were great with any issues we had, which none are worth mentioning. Home was perfect, temp was perfect, the vacation was perfect. 10 stars. Mahalo!!!!

Family Vacation
We recently stayed here for an 8 night family vacation with a group of 11, 8 adults and 3 children.The good: The property is in a great location, just 10 minutes from A Bay and 15 from Hapuna Beach. The town of Waikola Village has a grocery store, coffee shop, and a few restaurants. The unit itself is large and has two assigned parking spots, and we had no trouble finding a third guest parking spot right across from the unit. The bad: The property left a lot to be desired and feels tired overall. The property really needs to be deep cleaned; all the baseboards are dirty, closet tracks were full of dirt, the washers have mildew in them, and there were dead cockroaches in one of the bedroom closets. Of the six bedrooms in the unit, not one bed could be considered comfortable. They were all old, squeaky, and hard as rock. One bed, a queen bed that would have ideally slept two adults, was so uncomfortable that we had to put two children in the bed instead as it was unbearable for any fully grown individual. The bedroom right off the living room had a broken exterior lock so all that was keeping it locked was a little chain latch.The kitchen had no dishtowels or washrags, so we were told to use bathroom towels. The batteries were dead in the AC remote for the living room and there were no extra batteries in the house. After trying TV remote batteries, finally was able to get the remote working to turn off the AC. Overall, we would not choose to stay here again.
