Enjoyed the stay. The only negative thing is that the a/c, even set in 69, never sufficiently cooled the room. Luckily, we brought a fan which helped, somewhat.

Fantastic Get-Away

This was an outstanding property. More than adequate space for both of us. Just a short walk to the beach and places to eat and drink. The pool was a great place to finish the day. The shuttle tram was a great convenience with helpful friendly drivers. Plenty of great paths for morning walks or jogs. Definitely will make a return visit.

The property is the best location to do anything. Helicopter rides, zip line, many theme restaurants. My favorite was Robot restaurant, robot brings food to you. Room very clean, quiet, all our needs met. Communication with Expedia was above average.❤️

Great Stay!!

We loved the condo. Even though we were not beachfront. We had a pretty view of the beach. The short walk to the beach was fantastic. We though we had to cross the road but we didn’t have to which made it better. The pool was great. The location to restaurants and shopping was a plus. We will definitely book again. The resort was great.

Amazing Ocean view, short walk to beach!

We loved everything about staying at Lusu resort in Sandestin. The short walk to the beach was perfect. The pool and hot tub were excellent. We started everyday on our balcony enjoying the morning sun. Marcella was very professional and fantastic to work with. If we travel to the Destin area again we will definitely book one of Marcella’s properties. Thanks for a perfect getaway.

Perfect for our stay

The studio was very nice, our trip was short and it was perfect for that. It was clean, but needed some cleaning behind the furniture. My only complaint was the freezer needed to be defrosted, it was frozen solid we could not use it at all. I would book again.

LOVED IT

I loved it!!! 3 minutes away from the beach! Once you park no need to drive just get on the tram with the passes! It can take you to the bay where u have things to do with kids or for a date night lots of restaurants for food , you can grab a Fat Tuesday drink ,or visit the bars. I highly recommend this stay! Definitely worth it

Great stay

I was there with my family for 3 nights. This place is at a walking distance from the beach which was great. The only problem we encountered is that we were provided with only one toilet paper which we run out of it the first day and no replacement towels or wash clothes. I called management and I was told they do not provide simple necessity as toilet paper and towels.

Loved the location and the pool was wonderful. Short walk to Gulf and a very nice restaurant right on the beach. Condo was nice...Only 1 towel holder in the bathroom though and none in the “kitchen area” which consisted of a bar sink, small refrigerator, and a microwave. They only had 1 kitchen towel and no drying area for dishes. I would recommend more towel holders be installed in the kitchen area and especially in the bathroom. Tub floor was extremely slippery...they should have a non-skid Mat in the tub. They had a very nice grilling area and stores were close and easy to get to. We would definitely return to this area and stay at Luau again.

It was Eh..

Marcella is a wonderful woman in a sense of responding back to our texts. When the air wouldn't go below 73 when we got there, she told us to restart the breaker and it fixed it. Moreover, when the connection with the tv wasn't working at the beginning, she responded quickly and fixed it remotely when we let her know. The bed was comfy. However, the pull out mattress for the sofa was the catastrophe... You could literally feel the springs underneath the mattress.. My poor brother had to put back the pullout mattress because there was more cushion on the sofa than the mattress in the sofa.. Also, don't get me started on the hair... There was a red hair on the microwave buttons... There was multiple hairs in the towels.. they may need to empty out the lint before putting them in the dryer. Lastly, our window curtain had fell from just trying to open it up the second day and we had placed it to where it sat up on top on both sides so at least the sun would be blocked when we slept in for the rest of the 3 days stay.Lastly, the hot tob is weird it goes down six inches all the way around..Pros-5 min walk from beach, literally go downstairs and the pool is there, there is a area coming back from the beach by the pool where you can rinse yourself off of the sand. There is a ice machine on the parking floor. They had carts to use to carry multiple luggage items.The view from the balcony is nice to see the beach. They had elevators and they were not busy. Resident/outsider were kind.

Walked in the room at 10:30 first night and it smelled musty, like mildewy but chalked it up to ocean living. The carpet was stained and looked dirty. Then got ready to get into the bed and discovered that the sheets were what smelled like Mildew. Contacted the Manager and was told that there was a washing machine on parking level that we could use to wash the sheets and towels because they only supply enough towels and sheets to start us off with. (like who goes on vacation to do somebody else's laundry) Did not watch any movies or tv at all because the Cox Cable was jacked up. (figured I would not mention it to the manager because that would go nowhere). There was a pile of sand coming out of the entry closet. But we did enjoy the area and the community of Sandestin. Loved walking to the beach and the sundeck of the building.

My initial rental ( studio) had A/C issues on CHECKIN day. I was called given a complete explanation and offered a 2 bed 2 bath condo in the same area. Appreciated she had a solution. I will always rent from her from now on

From the description and reviews I knew this was not new or fancy but it was a reasonably priced room with a good location and nice pool near the ocean. The room could use some upgrading and maintenance. It has easy access to the ocean beach (beach was covered with umbrellas and people). The tram was great since we did not have a car but there wasn't anything really close to get groceries - silly that they only supply ONE roll of toilet paper for your room. Also, most people using this are from out of town and there were not towels provided for the swimming pool or ocean so had to drag ones from home. Overall, nice location and cheaper than many other places around (though not 'cheap').
