Direct Ocean/Sunset View Penthouse Unit! Watch Dolphins, Whales, Cruise Ships!

Aloha! Welcome to my condo. It has been totally remodeled and has an open floor plan unlike other units in this complex. It's features include: high speed internet access, work space, large flat screen TV in living room and bedroom with HDTV Cable, Blu-ray DVD player and surround sound, two air conditioning units, a fully equipped kitchen with granite counter-tops, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, plus a washer and dryer for your private laundry needs. Includes all the linens needed for your stay.

The condo is conveniently located within easy walking distance (about a 5 minute walk) to town, beaches, shopping and restaurants. Convenient, but so peaceful, with beautiful ocean views and swaying palm trees. You will find it hard to leave.

The Kona Pacific complex has a beautiful pool and club house. The pool deck has 2 gas grills for outdoor cooking and plenty of lounge chairs to soak up some of that Kona sun. The club house has a sink, microwave and small fridge and is located on the upper deck of the pool area. The Kona Pacific grounds are beautifully landscaped and manicured. There is also an elevator for your convenience and a free dedicated parking stall.

Relax and enjoy the view from either inside the condo or from the lani. You can see whales (during whale season), spinner dolphins, cruise ships moored and sunsets. Enjoy some Kona coffee in the morning or sip cocktails in the evening from your covered, ocean view penthouse lanai.

The master bedroom features a cable flat screen TV as well as a private master bathroom with walk-in shower. The living room has 2 hide-a-bed couches for additional guests and an additional full bathroom with a shower/tub combo.

The activities on the island are endless including charter fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling, parasailing, fine dining, championship golf courses, dinner cruises, luaus, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Take a day trip to the other side of the island to Volcano National Park, or just relax. You are in Paradise!

We loved our stay at this property! Great home base for our week long stay. Comfortable, quiet, homey! It was very wet and windy while we were visiting, but the condo was is a great location to just sit and watch the storms roll in. Thanks for letting us stay!

We ended up not staying here. We were unable to access the property and VRBO was unable to help. It was late, so we were unable to contact the owner. The owner called the following day and cleared up the access issue. By then, we had already found another lodging option for our entire stay. We negotiated a fair settlement with the owner directly considering all factors.

Peaceful and close to everything!

Close to Ali'i Dr without the noise! The condo was clean and the kitchen was nicely stocked. The view from the lanai was great. The complex was also very quiet and the manager onsite was helpful and friendly. Only negatives were that the bedroom size was quite small and the tub drain plug wasn't working.

Wonderful Condo

We had a great time, loved the peaceful mornings on the lanai. Condo had everything we needed. Joe was very helpful and provided detailed instructions. The condo was very comfortable and had plenty of room. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent experience!

This condo is has an amazing view, we were able to see whales right from our Lanai! It was a short pleasant walk down to the restaurant areas and historical attractions. There is so much to do on this Island, and Kona Pacific is the perfect jumping off point. Everything we needed was in the condo, and it instantly felt like "home". We would definitely stay here again!u

Love The Big Island

Great unit, location and complex. It has everything you need for a beach vacation; chairs, mats, snorkel gear and beach towels.The view from the lanai was wonderful, I miss it everyday, we enjoyed just being there. Staying in Kona allows you to walk to dinner and watch the sun set & have a Mai Tia or two at Don the Beachcombers. The Big Island is our favorite and would recommend this unit to anyone who wants to stay in downtown Kona and still explore the island.

We enjoyed our stay here, the description and photos are accurate and the condo is clean and well kept. Great instructions for check in, parking and locating the unit. The pool area is very nice and the bbq's and tables are great if you want to sit poolside at supper time. Kitchen is very well stocked if you like to cook some meals at home and the living area is spacious and comfortable. The lanai is also large and has a great ocean view, we enjoyed sitting outside every morning. The location is great, its a short walk to several resaurants, pubs and shops. Would stay here again.

lovely views of the sunset from the Lanai

The condo was in a great location and very well appointed with lovely views of the ocean and sunsets. We were able to walk into town which was a plus since parking is hard to find in town. The one disappointment was that there were no beach chairs, umbrella, snorkeling equipment, or cooler for going to the beach. Only two boogie boards. We thought from the description that these would be supplied.

Aloha Greg! We had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at your condo. The view of the ocean is exactly as depicted in your photos. The bedroom and bathrooms were very clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with essentials. For us, the wifi connectivity was a big hit as we still had to do a little work while vacationing. We would recommend this condo to anyone who's looking for an excellent place to vacation. Great sunsets!

The Kona Pacific two week stay Feb and March was terrific. Being on the top floor with a large lanai it was the perfect spot to sit and watch the sunset. The brand new dishwasher was not working properly but was quickly taken care of. This was a large one bedroom with comfortable furnishings and all your beach supplies(beach towels, beach chairs, boozy boards and snorkelling equip and even a small cooler and ice packs!) were much appreciated to make our beach days fun and comfortable. Being so close to town was great for casual walks to dinner. This condo was very good value.

Nice place to rent

We enjoyed our stay in this condo very much. The pictures on the site are accurate, the kitchen & living room are very spacious. The bedroom feels a little small but that is mainly due to the amount of furniture in the room. The condo was spotless when we arrived. There are lots of amenities to use while staying there such as a cooler, beach chairs, umbrella, snorkel gear, beach towels, etc etc. The place was very quiet - we never heard the neighbors. The owners are wonderful, quick to answer questions regarding their place and happy to give you suggestions on where to dine, snorkel or go sight seeing. I would rent this place again!! We love staying at Kona Pacific because of it's location, easy strolling to local shops & restaurants.

Nice condo in great location

This condo is very nicely furnished. The colors, wall decorations, etc. are all very tasteful and Hawaiian-feeling. The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped. There is a closet full of beach accessories, which we found very handy. Being on the top floor and away from the road, this condo is very quiet. You can hear an occasional car in the parking lot below, but it's mostly just birds chirping. The location is super convenient to shops and restuarants. The closest restaurant is about 4 minutes by foot, if you walk quickly! One thing to point out is that the bed is on the soft side. Not terribly soft, but softer than we're accustomed to. Whether that's good or bad depends on your tastes.

Stayed During New years - First Stay in Hawaii

My fiancee and I recently stayed in this unit with another couple and it was great to have all amenities available to us if we needed. This place came with everything, and though most of it we did not end up using, was VERY convenient to have. We would definitely recommend this place to any other group looking to spend some quality time in Hawaii. This place has it all, including everything we needed to Check out the beach: Beach umbrella, blanket, beach towels, body board, sand castle stuff Stay out of the rain: umbrella Stay connected: Cable and Wifi Get a great view: Top floor beach view for sunsets Shop: CLOSE proximity to shopping Eat: CLOSE proximity to restaurants and the list goes on and on. If we ever stay in Kona again, we would definitely look this place up. We felt right at home with fresh fruit made available for our arrival. Plus, guys you can tell your ladies to leave those blow driers and curling irons at home cuz they've got 'em here too!! Bottom line, this place is great for all sorts of people. Thanks again!

A great stay at the Kona Pacific

My wife and I enjoyed a great 9 night stay at this condo. In my opinion, the location is perfect - a short walk to all the action on Ali'i drive, yet extremely quiet and peaceful. The description and photo's do not do this unit justice - a great view, where we could watch humpback whales with our morning coffee. The unit was very clean, and the grounds were impeccable. Joe was extremely helpful and accommodating, and very responsive to any email questions I had. We would highly recommend this property, and are very likely to book again for our next trip to the Big Island. Our favorite restaurants included the Lemongrass Bistro (best Thai food I've ever had), Da Poke Shack for the best Poke plates anywhere, as well as Alices Burgers (with the a great home made Gelato shop right next door). Most mornings we took the short walk to Basik for an Acai bowl - a great way to start the day. Our primary activity on this trip was snorkeling -out first experiece. Kahaluu Beach was the perfect spot for us - walk in snorkeling, with a great variety of tropical fish as well as more turtles than I've ever seen in one location. We also enjoyed the other Kona beaches - Hapuna. Mauna Kea. Spencer, and Anaehoomalu were our other favorites. Overall this was a wonderful vacation - we will be back. Mahalo

June holiday

The apartment was clean and well stocked and looked as it said in the pictures, it was better presented than others we viewed that other friends had rented in the same complex. Unfortunately the owner had not sent through the door code by email to get in, I assumed there would be some kind of reception area but that was not the case, (at least no one there at it) after standing about for a long time we eventually found a lady who knew the owner but initially wouldn't believe we had rented it. Only after showing her emails to confirm full payment already gone through - she then phoned the owner who confirmed our names etc and she let us in. Have been home for 10 days now and still waiting for the deposit to be returned. If it is returned I would say overall it would be worth recommending to rent, if it is not I will certainly add further comments in due course on trip advisor also giving caution to others of this. There are a number of good cafes within a short walking distance and it is quite central for most activities and shops, though car hire is required for supermarket food shopping and lots of other island attractions.

I apologize for the confusion on the entry code, we send the directions, parking stall number and entry code out 2 to 3 weeks before arrival and I thought I had. The security deposit was mail as per the agreement but was returned to me marked "undeliverable". Unfortunately the guest lives in New Zealand and regular postal service from US to New Zealand is 12 days. Once I received the returned deposit I paid $55 to have it express mailed international which is 3 to 5 days. Again I apologize for the confusion and tried to make this right with the guest.

Our condo had everything we needed, and was in short walking distance to all of the Kona restaurants and shops. Joe was very helpful, even giving directions to favorite restaurants and grocery shopping. The Big Island has a lot to offer, and our stay at Kona Pacific was a perfect starting point.
