A lovely place in an ideal location!
The location was perfect mid-way between downtown and the French Quarter and the Garden District. We loved being in a neighborhood and the decor our the apartment fit perfectly with the period. The bed was comfortable and with the large doors to the bedroom shut, it was quiet and dark. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to New Orleans.

1st trip to NOLA!
My husband and I really enjoyed staying at this apartment! It was very clean, has big open spaces with tall ceilings, tons of natural light, nice lounging areas, and a balcony facing the park & Magazine street. The location was great in a very walkable part of town, with easy access to bars, restaurants, & cafes. It was also easy to get an Uber/Lyft in the area, $8 to $10 to the FQ. Calvin was a great host, there were a few bottles of water in the frig for us, a Keurig with coffee pods, and he allowed us to do an early check in which was awesome! We would definitely stay here again!

FUN location, historic charm, excellent host
We're digital nomads, and this apartment was a great home base for work and play in New Orleans. It was spacious and comfortable, with good wifi, multiple workspaces, and off-street parking. It's in a historic building, with 12ft ceilings and a wide balcony - tons of authentic New Orleans character! We loved the location in the Lower Garden District, an easy walk to the st. Charles streetcar and numerous restaurants and shops. We also walked to the French Quarter a lot. Best of all, we watched a second line and the Irish Channel St. Paddy's Day parade from the balcony! So fun! The apartment was well-stocked with supplies in the bathroom and kitchenette - we didn't have to buy a thing. The host, Calvin, was very responsive and accommodating. When we had a little problem with the front door, he was there in minutes to fix it. Interested guests should note that (1) the kitchenette is at one end of the bedroom (might be tricky for couples who retire/rise at different times) and (2) the unit does not have a washer and dryer. Both of these are evident in the photos/description, and would not stop us from staying here again in the future.

Why they chose this property

If you want a local experience then this place is for you. We are licensed with the City of New Orleans to legally operate as a short-term-rental property. The building has been preserved and tastefully renovated by the current owner. This building was designed by the great Henry Howard, a 19th century architect responsible for many of the great mansions found in the Garden District. The property maintains much of its original character and has its own private entrance. The interior is extremely comfortable.
