About this property
Classic New Orleans Victorian Charmer
Take an authentic step back in time and spend a few nights in our classic 1870s New Orleans Victorian-era home featuring 12-foot ceilings, hardwood floors, and original cypress fireplace mantels. Lovingly updated with the latest modern amenities, the home has central air and heat, a full kitchen with stainless appliances, a custom bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower, and a laundry room. We think it’s the perfect balance of historic charm and modern comfort.
Our Victorian-era “shotgun-style” double allows you all the privacy of your own place because the home is split down the middle with you on one side and us living on the other. The front two rooms are bathed in natural light from the large windows, where the ceilings are adorned with giant decorative medallions, and relax with our 56-inch TV or surf the internet with our high-speed Wi-Fi. Past the dining room, where a signed print by renowned Louisiana artist George Rodrigue hangs, is a full kitchen where you can enjoy a cup of rich New Orleans coffee in the warmth of the morning sunshine beaming through the large window that overlooks the seating area. The kitchen has basic cookware, plates, silverware, cooking utensils, cups, bowls, a toaster, and a coffee maker. Coffee, tea, creamer, and sweeteners are provided. This house has a a "shotgun-style" layout. The first bedroom past the kitchen has a brand-new queen bed, ceiling fan, closet, dresser, and full-length mirror. The bathroom in the hallway connects the bedrooms and boasts a custom tile shower with a rainfall shower, handheld shower spray, and a marble bench seat. We supply fluffy towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and a hair dryer. The second bedroom has a brand-new queen bed, ceiling fan, clothes rack, and a lovely view of the neighboring garden. The back door leads to the small brick patio. A fully stocked laundry room with a washer and dryer is available in the back of the home. We want you to relax and enjoy your stay, so we do all the cleaning so no chores are required of our guests upon checkout. Parking is on the street and is often plentiful. It is free.

Exceptional spot for a stay in NOLA. Comfortable, lovely decor, fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Convenient location, excellent communication. Would definitely stay again.
We’ve stayed at this property multiple times. We love it and the neighborhood. We literally never got in a car. So walkable. The house has everything you need and more. Great communication with host. Tons of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and local businesses nearby. Walk to the WWII museum.
Highly recommend! Great location - coffee shop and a bar 1/2 block away. Local restaurants from low key to amazing cuisine. You can sit outside in the back or on the front porch. The quality of everything is excellent. Exceeded my expectations.
Great stay in the Classic New Orleans Victorian charmer! Enjoyed this charming typical NOLA place with its soaring ceilings and beautiful hardwood floors but modern kitchen and bathroom. Keep in mind that you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the next, which may not work for all groups though it was fine for our visit with our adult daughter for a few days. The location is conveniently located -- it's about a 30 minute walk to the French Quarter and 15 minutes or so further into the Garden District. French Trunk Coffee is basically next door, and I enjoyed a mani-pedi at the Spa Isbell across the street. This is a great spot for a New Orleans stay!
This was by far one of my favorite VRBO stays. The house was gorgeous—even better looking than the pictures—and the location was perfect for easily getting around New Orleans. The beds were super comfortable, the kitchen was gourmet and had every pot, pan and spice we needed, and the porch kitty was a special bonus. Thank you for letting us share your family’s historic home!
We were in town for a conference at the conference center and this property was perfect. Although not necessarily walking distance for an early morning and late evening conference, the location was great. The property was very clean and very cute. Of note, you have to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, which could be an issue for some guests. However, it was absolutely fine for us and there was plenty of privacy. The owner was very responsive and offered excellent insight for our trip. I would highly recommend!
This is a wonderful house in the perfect location. The host was extremely welcoming and accommodating. He recommended a restaurant nearby Beggars that’s delicious. Also try Joey K’s. Walking distance to the WWII museum
ADORABLE place in a cute, centrally located neighborhood. Communication with the owner was excellent. Beds were very comfy and kitchen well stocked. Highly recommend.
We loved the location as it was just far enough away from all the busyness but close enough to walk to whatever we wanted. Thank you for a great place to stay.
Immaculately clean, great neighborhood for walkability and easy to get to the streetcar. Quiet at night. Easy to communicate with host who very quickly gave a solution for an issue with WiFi. Wonderful stay.
Absolutely loved this home and the neighborhood is quiet with a few bars in walking distance. It was perfect for our weekend stay and had everything we needed and more. The beds were comfortable which were a great bonus.
