We really enjoyed where this property is situated and spent hours watching the multiple species of birds that frequent the garden. The host was very quick to respond to any requests or needs we had providing plenty of information to help our stay go without a hitch.
Fascinating town but the cottage did not really live up to its description.

We had a wonderful time staying in this magical cottage. It was lovely and cosy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you would need and more. One of the windows from the kitchen looks over the lovely natural wild garden and it was lovely being able to sit in the garden in the evenings, watching the birds and other wildlife. The cottage and the surrounding area was lovely and quite. Trevor our host, was very helpful and responded to any questions we had very quickly, which was a massive help. The cottage is also five minutes walk to The Glen (Pittencrieff Park), which is a beautiful park. The rail station is a 30 minute walk and the bus station is around a 10 minute walk from the Cottage. We would definitely come back and stay at this magical cottage.

A very comfortable and charming cottage, which has everything that you will need.
Had a really lovely stay, the cottage in really close to Dunfermline centre and the Glen, so everything this was close to hand and at easy reach. The cottage was very comfortable and welcoming, with free wifi, which we took advantage off. I found everything was very clean with fresh towels all folded and waiting for us on our arrival. The weather was fortunately really nice on our weeks stay which made our holiday perfect.
I would recommend staying in this cottage to anyone that is visiting/staying in Dunfermline. The Sherlock family

Drei Sterne
So ähnlich wohnten meine Großeltern.

The cottage was well equipped for our family of five. We enjoyed our stay in Scotland and it was a pleasant place to rest our heads at the end of a busy day of exploring.

Lovely cosy cottage, great holiday
The cottage had lots of character and was ideally located for everything. Next time we'll bring the grandchilden as the playpark just a few minutes walk from the cottage is fantastic. It was great being able to stroll around the wooded walks in the Glen and go for a meal out at night without having to take the car. So many places to visit in and around Dunfermline, a week just isn't long enough.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Yes the Glen just down the road really is a fantastic place, The woodland walks are so atmospheric, and there are so many lovely places to visit in Fife, picturesque fishing villages, castles and gardens, as well as the big city of Edinburgh within easy reach.
carneigie cottage is a cosy charming cottage with everything you could need from a cork screw to a computer.
the beds are so comfortable and everything was spotlessly clean.
nothing was too much trouble for the owners and they accept dogs which was a huge bonus to us.
we will recommend this cottage to family and friends

Unser vierter Schottland Urlaub.
Lieber Mr. Smith herzlichen Dank
und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.
Great location in quiet friendly street close to historic town centre, cafes, restaurants, museums, theatres, bus station, parkland, open countryside and food shops open until 11.00pm. Very central for visiting places of interest in Fife, Edinburgh and Stirling.
What makes this property unique
Unlike most so-called traditional cottages this property has not been gutted, plasterboarded, and pvc'd so that little more than the stone walls remain. Virtually all of the woodwork is original 1890's which helps to maintain the old world atmosphere.
