Stayed during St Patrick’s week. Had a blast we walked everywhere. The house is cute and clean has all the basics. The neighborhood is adorable and even had a chicken. He was cool and hung out on the stoop a lot. Hosts were great to communicate with. Definitely try the Italian restaurant that’s just a short walk down the street. The grocery store the block over had everything we needed. Will be back again!!

So glad you enjoyed your stay! So, the chicken is our neighborhood chicken. She showed up last summer and we all started feeding and watering her in the 114 degree temps. She stayed lol.
Thanks for choosing us and please do stay again!
Host was only a text away from any questions you may had, beautiful home and comfortable sleeping accommodations....bonus room in back with twin bunks if you are traveling with little ones...will definitely be staying again. Only thing to be aware of is that it is about a 20 min walk to Bourbon not 10...maybe it's 10 min for driving but it's walking distance for sure...just put on some good shoes!

Thanks so much, Denise! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! Thank you for taking such good care of our little home.
The host was incredibly responsive; communication was great. This is not a touristy location. This is a real NOLA neighborhood. We walked to the French Quarter once. It is a 20 minute walk to the market on Decatur. The house is clean and the beds are fluffy. Take your own toiletries. The stairs to the 2nd floor are steep. We did not cook, and I didn't check out the kitchen setup. Why would you cook when you're in New Orleans? All we did was make coffee in the morning. Coffee was provided.

Thanks so much for your review, Kimberly. I hope you enjoyed staying in the Treme.
This accommodation is definitely the quintessential New Orleans Shotgun home. It was so cozy and clean. The hostess has done a fantastic job furnishing the home. . The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked. She provided snacks and everything we needed to enjoy a good cup of coffee. That was greatly appreciated! We also appreciated the pull out table. Our hostess was very quick to respond to any question we had. The location was very good. We were able to walk to the French Quarter and there was a Trolley Car stop very close by. The Trolleys were a very inexpensive way to navigate New Orleans. A Hop On Hop Off bus stop was close by, also. Our only disappointment was the street noise. Cars revving their engines and blasting their radios. It seemed to get louder each night, culminating with Saturday night being the loudest. Saturday night was parade like with lighted bicycles/party trailers/cars going up and down the street multiple times late into the night. People shouting and walking in the streets. We were so thankful the bedrooms were in the back of the house as that reduced some of the noise. We adored the house, just not the noise.

Thanks so much for staying Joni! I agree that the outside noise can be too much on Saturdays here! It seems that everyone celebrates something on the weekend and we get the largest part of the noise since we are on the main street to enter the Quarter. I'm so glad that your rooms were far enough from the craziness that sometimes ensues in our city. I'm so glad you found the area to be good for walking and used our trolley system while here.
