Bayside Cedars - Nestled in a grove of cedars overlooking Sequim Bay
The Space:
Nestled in a grove of cedars on the edge of Sequim Bay near Olympic National Park. Bird watching, sail boats, beach walk, dig clams right by your cabin. Walk or bike on the Discovery Trail. Deck with hot tub. Bayside Cedars
One of our most popular vacation homes. This log home is nestled in a grove of cedars right on the edge of Sequim Bay. Watch the bird activity and sail boats floating by or better yet take the short trail to the water's edge. The last bit before the beach is currently not accessible, keep posted to when we get this access corrected. This cabin is situated a few steps from the Discovery Trail; you can walk or bring your bikes. The trail is very close to the cabin, just a little ways down the road and you will see the entrance. The trail goes east as far as 7 Cedars Casino or west beyond Port Angeles.
There are two bedrooms, queen and double. The living room, kitchen and dining area are one large great room allowing for easy conversation while meals are being prepared. The deck has a wonderful hot tub for relaxing while breathing in the salty air as the water jets soothe your tired muscles from the day`s hike in nearby Olympic National Park. Fully equipped kitchen, TV, DVD. We have Roku and internet access TV, but not cable channels. Sequim Bay State Park is next door and is available for day use. PLEASE NOTE: 4WD Vehicles may be required for access to the cabin during winter season. The steep driveway can become icy or muddy after weather events. Please inquire before booking, thank you.
Important note before you book: Guests are required to complete the Check-In Form provided by Brigadoon Vacation Rentals as a mandatory step to finalize their reservation. To ensure a smooth check-in process, a valid government-issued photo ID must be attached to the form.

I love the view as well as the hot tub but instructions in the house need to be updated and match what is in the binder at the house.

What a lovely location! Tucked away and private. Directly on the water. Hot tub on the dock. Big windows to look out at the bay. Comfortable bed. And pet friendly! A perfect weekend escape

Thank you for your kind words! We're so glad you enjoyed the peaceful waterfront setting, hot tub, and cozy comforts. We'd love to welcome you back for another getaway!
We enjoyed our time away with our dog Lolli which may be her last vacation. The cabin could definitely use some tlc and updates, but it was clean and functional. The neighborhood is very peaceful and the view from the hot tub is great.

Lovely location. Unfortunately the cabin was not at all clean. Dusty. Cobwebs. Terrible shower experience and lack of water pressure. Gross chewed up bones left behind and we were having allergy attacks the first couple days we had to air out out for a long time.

Beautiful cabin on the water, rough around the edges
The cabin’s location is beautiful! The cabin itself is a little rough around the edges, but is a lovely and peaceful place to relax. They need new sheets and pillows and the chairs in the living room could use an update. The hot tub is a lovely addition, but upon arrival, it had a very strong stinky smell of chemicals. The property manager was prompt at getting the problem fixed, so out of our 6 night stay, the hot tub was out of commission for 3 of the nights. Overall, a lovely place for the price point.

Communication with Brigadoon Vacation Rental was seamless; they responded promptly to text messages and provided all the necessary information via email. The cabin itself was fantastic, boasting an incredible view, a relaxing hot tub, and a wide array of amenities. Although it’s close to the freeway, the cabin is well-shielded from view, and the light traffic noise was barely noticeable. The location was ideal—conveniently close to Sequim and only a 30-minute drive from Port Townsend—making it a perfect base for our adventures. The only minor downsides were the flat, somewhat uncomfortable pillows, and the narrow shower, which made it a bit challenging to prevent the shower curtain from occasionally clinging to me. However, these were just small inconveniences. We would gladly stay here again in the future!

We could not stay. The odor was like aerosol cans of varnish recently being used. The floor was emanating a ghastly odor the made my wife nauseous, dizzy and gave us both a headaches within 30min. of being there. We had to leave and find a hotel last minute. The host is denying anything. It's awful, unprofessional and deceitful of them that they will not acknowledge work was done in there and are keeping our money. **Brigadoon Vacation Rentals** Shame on you for renting a unit before it was safe for occupancy.
We have stayed at this location before a few years ago and greatly enjoyed it. This time was a little different but we made the best of it. We had issues with the hot tub not heating and it took half the trip to get that sorted and figure out with the help of staff via email. They were very responsive but weren’t able to resolve the issue. Ultimately my husband looked up the model online to figure out how to fix it. In addition to that, none of the furniture is really all that comfy for long periods of time. We came up here to enjoy this cabin and have a quiet weekend but the sofa is hard and the chairs are missing arms and no place to kick up your feet. The beds are kinda small. A queen and a double and neither is a decent mattress. The queen mattress is old and says a lot in the center but lifts in the corners and the double is very hard and would probably be okay with a mattress topper. Lastly, the driveway is VERY steep and gravel, which was fine for us in our truck but we had to use our 4 wheel drive to get out. Sequim is lovely, quiet and chill which was great. We went to some of the nearby parks, ate lots of good food and enjoyed a few trails. The host was kind and responsive but for me this won’t be a location I book again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're truly sorry to hear that your second stay didn’t meet the expectations set by your previous visit. While we’re glad you found our team responsive and were still able to enjoy the area, we understand how frustrating the hot tub issue and furniture comfort must have been, especially when seeking a relaxing getaway. Your insights regarding the beds, seating, and driveway are very helpful, and we’ll be reviewing each of these items closely to see where improvements can be made. We appreciate your honest comments and the opportunity to learn how we can do better.
This cabin is quaint and vintage with a serene setting and view. Check in was easy, the management responsive and timely. The kitchen adequately equipped, towels and bedding plentiful. There were concerns however regarding a few things; first of all, the hot tub does not have a step. I'm 5' 2" and 73 years old, my friend, 75. We had to either consider dragging a chair over and risk a fall from standing on it or literally just fling ourselves over the edge and hope for a safe landing. I messaged the manager regarding this and they responded quickly with an apology but no step. We were also disappointed that there was no beach access. The little trail to a pleasant looking seating area near the edge of the water was too steep for us but I'm sure that younger people without hip replacements will find it a delightful place to enjoy the view and wildlife of the sound. Another concern for me is there is no lock on the glass door. There is a piece of board though. I'd just feel safer with a lock.
Overall, we had an enjoyable time catching up with each other's lives and watching the waterfowl, seals and hummingbirds.
