This cabin is a really pretty place. It's secluded has an awesome back porch and the creek outback is a nice touch. Host was easy to get ahold of and we had our door code and house rules before we ever left our state. I appreciated that. Now to the not so good parts. That cabin had mice, we found droppings on our bedding on the stove, and on some of the window seals. I get it, you are out in the country but mice carry diseases so I was not happy. I let our host know this morning when we left and kinda got the brush off, no apologies, it was kinda just like oh well, safe travels. For as much as we paid for a 6 night stay I would have at least thought we would get an apology. Also the listing is misleading there is no washer and dryer in the home you have to go outside to the garage to do washing. That was not mentioned in the list as far as I can remember. Everywhere there was grass in the yard it was calf high on me, simple things like presentation make a world of difference. And last when I got the rules for the house it said absolutely no shoes on the carpet, only the 2 bathrooms, very tight entryway, and kitchen is tile, everything else is carpet. It wouldn't have probably been a big deal if we had stayed for a night but it became a major inconvenience over the course of 6 days. I personally would not recommend this place for the price that it is

Response from Management on 19 Oct, 2026
Thank you for acknowledging the beauty of the property, its peaceful setting, and our communication throughout your stay. We would, however, like to clarify a few points. Most importantly, the concerns regarding mice were not brought to our attention until the morning of your departure, after your six-night stay. Had we been notified at any point during your visit, we would have had the opportunity to investigate and address the situation immediately. Unfortunately, we cannot resolve issues during a guest's stay if we are unaware they exist. We would also like to correct the statement that your concerns were dismissed. Our team did apologize upon receiving your message and informed you that maintenance would be investigating the issue. We take these reports seriously, and suggesting otherwise does not accurately reflect our response. Regarding the washer and dryer, both are available for guest use and are located in the garage. The property is also situated in a natural, rural setting, and the lawn is maintained accordingly. We understand that certain house rules, such as removing shoes on carpeted areas, may not suit everyone's preferences; however, these guidelines are intended to help maintain the property. We always welcome constructive feedback and appreciate the opportunity to address legitimate concerns. We simply ask that guests communicate any issues during their stay so that we have a fair opportunity to make things right.
