The apartment was clean and as advertised. the were extra toiletries, and the pull out couch was nice. The location was fine, and it was quiet, just what we needed. I wish they had provided beautiful weather, but we had a great weekend despite the rain.

Nice Brunswick home base

If you take the Amtrak Downeaster all the way to its terminal in Brunswick, you’ll find a cute little town with a wonderful gelato shop and a solid art museum at Bowdoin College. You’ll also be able to walk right to this sweet little apartment - neat, thoughtfully put together with everything you’ll need for the perfect wind down evening and wind up morning! We are looking forward to a future stay!

Three of us staying very comfortably in this apartment – one on the pull-out sofa and two in the bedroom. It was over 90 degrees F outside, but the window air-conditioner in the central room, the kitchen, kept us cool. It was a short and easy walk to visit Bowdoin, and to pick up coffee and sandwiches from Bohemian Coffee House & Deli on the way. There were occasional noises from upstairs, but they were soft and muffled. The apartment is on a quiet residential street.

The location is perfect for exploring Brunswick; we walked everywhere and it was great. The decor is nicely done, not that it matters, but it is nice to stay at place where people have put thought into it.2 thoughts/suggestions: the AC mentioned is just a window unit in the kitchen. The first day we stayed there was a pretty hot day and it took a long time for the whole place to cool down. There are no fans in the place at all, and I was really wishing for one in the bedroom. If I had known, I would have definitely brought one. And secondly, there are no glass cups. It's just a small thing, but I hate drinking water out of a plastic cup or mug which is all that they had there.My husband and I would definitely stay there again, though!

Why they chose this property

This neighborhood is a beautiful area, great for walks and biking. It has all the necessities in walking distance. The Downeaster Amtrak train is a few minutes away, that is a 3 hour ride to Boston! The historic Bowdoin College is a few minutes walk as well. Driving, we are 30 minutes to Portland, 30 minutes from the seacoast town of Harpswell, and 15 minutes to Freeport home of L.L.Bean.
But if you want to stay local, there are many lovely shops and restaurants to enjoy in walking distance!
