Historic home in Edgartown, full of old charm. Wonderful location to walk to shops and dining, Fuller beach, the lighthouse, Church St. bus station, or just enjoy the private backyard. This location allows you to enjoy your stay without having to have a car. The home has a full kitchen, dining room, living room, sitting room, bedroom with a double bed, and bathroom with shower stall on the first floor. Cable and internet is provided. The second floor has 3 bedrooms; one with twin beds, one with queen bed, and another with a double bed. There is a full bath on the second floor. We suggest that you arrange linen service in advance of your stay. Takemmy Linen Rental is very reliable (508-693-2788). There is central air conditioning upstairs (installed 2019) and window A/C units on the first for the hot or humid days. Baseboard heat is available throughout the house. Off the kitchen in the back of the house is a deck with outdoor seating and a grill. The yard is good size for Edgartown proper - big enough for a game of catch! If you plan to bring a car in the summer months, be sure to book your reservations in advance with the MV Steamship Authority as summer auto reservations fill quickly and standby is not available on weekends during the summer..

This was our second year staying at this house and we loved it. Great location just a couple blocks from downtown Edgartown, very clean space and very responsive host.
Amazing stay at Pam’s historical and charming home. It had everything we needed. Great location close to town. It was cozy and the backyard was awesome. Lovely to have on site parking. Would definitely stay here again!
The house is very spacious, the kitchen is very well equipped and the yard is huge. The location is fabulous. Two block walk and you are in the heart of Edgartown.
We really enjoyed the colonial, historic feel of the house, and appreciated the comfortable, clean, updated furnishings. The location can’t be beat, for proximity to Edgartown lighthouse and the downtown.
This is a great, well-appointed, clean, and charming house centrally located in Edgartown. While on a quiet street, it's just a short walk (2-5 minutes) from numerous coffee houses, shops, restaurants, bars, and the bus stop. Pam is a great host, who provided us with all the info we required and was very responsive to questions.
Our family is in love with this property. Its location and charm are unmatched. Love that there's parking in the driveway, a nice backyard for the kids to play, and ample space for our family (including 3 young children). We'll be back next year! Thank you.
We had an amazing stay – even with four (little) kids between us there was plenty of space and the yard was perfect! So lovely to walk to town easily and get food or ice cream. Would love to come back!
My wife turned 65 during our stay and just retired plus she is a huge Jaws fan. This trip was as her dream and she and family had a great time. The location of the rental house was chosen due to its location to Edgertowns main drag.
The house was spacious, clean and welcoming!
It was the perfect location for us to get to town and other parts of the island for a family wedding.
We had such a great time at the house!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and full of charm. The kitchen was well stocked and the entire place was user friendly. Great location with a short walk to Main Street in Edgartown and a short drive to area beaches.
This property is so convenient to everything in Edgartown and just a short drive to Vineyard Haven or Oak Bluffs. Very spacious home with a great private back yard.
The location of this house in Edgartown was perfect. The host was very responsive to my questions. It was clean, comfortable, quiet and large enough for the 8 of us. The deck and backyard was a great hangout. Would love to come back!
Our family chose an off season visit to Martha’s Vineyard. Communication was prompt and easy throughout. The property was perfectly located for morning walks to the light house and coffee at a little cafe nearby. Shopping of all sorts was nearby as were plenty of restaurant choices. Thé home was well appointed and had everything g we needed for a perfect week.
With ages in our group from 3 to 72 it was a perfect property. Multiple bedrooms and baths worked well for us. The house was stocked with an excellent supply of cooking to cleaning items which is not always the case. It made the house very homey. Location was perfect for either walking to a beach, or into town for ice cream or dinner. The owners have made this a great beach house.

Why they chose this property
Family grew up here or enjoyed summers visiting family here.
What makes this property unique
It's an old home. Was it really built in 1776? We have not been able to trace records that far but certainly there are homes in the area of this era. Nana always claimed that the house was 4 years older than the house across the street (1780)! The house has much of the old charm but we are continually doing upgrades to make it more attractive. It's location is great and it has some historic charm.
