Private golf course condo on ground floor. Lake view. Walking distance from country club and cafe on the green, as well as convenient store gas station, liquor store, bar and grill, pizza, fishing, driving range, several pools, saunas and hot tubs. One bedroom with patio and windows overlooking golf course and Lake .

I offer full disclosure prior to booking because I have a very strict cancellation policy:
This is a personal private property, not a hotel or resort. It is my family’s lake retreat where we go to fish, golf, play tennis and go boating and swimming. The condo is located next to the water and completely surrounded by beautiful forest. That being said if you have an aversion to the occasional critter you might not want to visit the lake and consider more pristine accommodations in the big city. DO NOT rent from me if you are OCD. My condo is old and going through a slow renovation process between guests. It looks the same as in the photos with perhaps a few new upgrades, but it’s very comfortable and cozy and it’s clean. But some things do look aged and if you don’t like it when you arrive, I have a strict cancellation policy. So make sure you ask plenty of questions prior to booking with me because you absolutely will not get a refund just for complaining about something. The maid happens to live in the next building on property, so if she missed a spot on something you can let me know and I’ll send her over to rectify the situation. But you will not get a refund if you find a speck of dirt or a fingerprint in my condo LOL. Remember this is a lake retreat, and a personally owned private property, not a home residence and not a hotel. It’s more like our outdoor sports play shack/cabin. But on a little higher scale. That being said… If you’re still interested, you are certainly welcome to stay. This condo stays booked constantly which is why the renovation process is taking so long. But people seem to love it. Parking right in front of unit and swimming pool directly across from front door. If you want a quick response to your inquiry, shoot me a short message and follow up with a phone call because the messaging system on this app seems to have delayed transmission time for some reason. ALL RENTERS MUST BE FULLY VERIFIED BY HOME AWAY AND HAVE A COMPLETE PROFILE WITH PHOTO. This is for MY PROPERTY PROTECTION. Thank you for understanding.

The property was clean and comfortable. Owner was friendly, but not flexible on early check in and late check out. Neighbors were friendly. A few things were irritating: no garbage disposal, tub was slippery, and no soap, otherwise good experience.

Fraud. Unlivable condo

Full disclosure - we were looking for pet-friendly accommodation, and this init accepts dogs. The musty smell another renter mentioned in her review was unbearable to the point, forty-five minutes into our visit, my wife and I developed headache. The scent was of chemicals mixes with very strong deodorants. Everything you see on the pictures is a fraud. This unit hasn't seen deep clean or fresh pain since the eighties. The bedroom you see has carpet removed, and all furniture is placed on a bare concrete slab. There are some rugs in the bedroom. The Keurig coffee maker you see and the toaster next to it covered in grease. The stove has pieces of food stuck to it. There is a sign of dirty mopping all overall kitchen surfaces and dirt all over the kitchen furniture. There are small dead bugs in the countertop tray. The sliding door you see is leading to a nice patio. What you don't see is a foot long spider web inside the unit in the sliding door corner. The carpet inside the living room is covered with stains (possibly pets marks). This unit's conditions are unsanitary (especially under COVID-19 restrictions), and this unit should be removed from VRBO listing. We have contacted the owner immediately via VRBO messaging, and VRPO customer service left two voice mail messages to the owner over 48 hours. She refused to respond. We spend two hours in the unit, forfeit our weekend vacation because we couldn't stay, and went back home. Regretfully, VRBO does not allow the upload of pictures. If you care for your well being, stay away from this unit.

Just what I needed!

I stayed here while closing on the sale of my house and it was a great place to rest and relax. Cherie knew I would be exhausted from moving and she was there to welcome me with snacks and a friendly smile. I will stay here again when I am in the area.

Disappointed and frustrated

Being my first experience using Vrbo I was a little nervous. I contacted the owner 4 days prior to arrival for directions on how to get into the property. I was told I would receive the information the day of arrival. My arrival time was 3:00 pm. Still no information. I emailed the owner and received a response 1 1/2 hours later. She had to drive 35 minutes to get to us. When she came the maid had not finished the job do to an emergency. After 2 1/2 hours we were able to get in. The description listed lakeside view. Are only view was the backyards of the other condo’s. They had tore up the carpet in the bedroom and it was a bare with a few throw rugs down. The condo had Avery musky smell not good for anyone with allergies. Which my husband and I both have. The bed was squeaky every time we made a move. Wouldn’t go back.

Thank you so much for your opinion of my little home that I work so hard to make improvements to on a regular basis all on my own. I bust my tail to upgrade this place and finish projects between rentals which help pay the bills and updates. You’re new to VRBO. Maybe you don’t know , but you’re staying in someone’s home, not a hotel or resort. So...For security reasons, access and unit number is granted on the day of check-in. (Just like a hotel). Details like unit number and keyless entry code and alarm security codes are withheld until day of arrival. Also...I replied to you several times via the website. The maid usually grants access via the website, upon completion of cleaning and when she got a call for a family emergency she left the unit before finishing without notice, understandably, as any mother would. I came directly and immediately the minute you messaged me. I live 45 min away and made it there in record time of 35 minutes, racing the whole way there for YOU. The condo is not listed as “lakeside” it’s listed as “lake VIEW”, and it is most definitely lake view and not through the “backyards of other condos”; it’s visible from the living room window as well as the back patio in the courtyard adjacent to the 18th hole of the golf course. To which there are photos in the listing showing the view. The bedroom has tinted etched concrete flooring; it’s a lake house. There are many large plush rugs including a wool Persian rug. They’re not “throw rugs”, they’re actual backed thick milled carpet rugs. Also there is no “musky” smell...The condo just had the tile grout treated and the treatment product lingered for a couple of days and it’s completely gone. I work very hard on my property and painted every inch of it myself. I am proud of my little asset you are merely one out of several hundred who showed no appreciation for my efforts. Everyone else has had something nice to say. I hope you find happiness and escape from your misery soon. May you find joy somehow and may it last the rest of your lifetime.
