Midcentury Modern Lakefront Retreat on Crooked Lake in Central Florida

Located in Babson Park on beautiful Crooked Lake, this tranquil 1500 sq ft midcentury modern home, sits at the end of a private, family-owned peninsula, surrounded by water. The uniquely designed home was built in 1970 by my family and has been a favorite vacation destination for several generations. Our grown children now bring their children to enjoy the rural setting and the water activities that are part of a lake vacation. The home offers 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms, each with relaxing bathtubs and showers where guests can unwind after a day of exploring.

The full-sized kitchen is equipped with all the appliances, cookware and tableware required to prepare meals. From the kitchen sink you will enjoy the views of the canal-side from the back of the home. Serve meals in the dining area on a table for six, surrounded by floor to ceiling windows that offer amazing views of the lakefront while you dine or play board games.

Crooked Lake is a spring fed 4,200-acre lake and is an outstanding fishing and boating destination and recognized as one of the cleanest lakes in the State of Florida, It is ideal for many water activities such as kayaking, jet skiing, rafting, swimming, and sailing. Our children, when younger, enjoyed bringing their friends to the lake and now their children are enjoying the lake. Fishing tournaments for bass and speckled perch is a year-round sport. Bring your boat, launch it at Bob's Landing Marina located nearby at 900 Ohlinger Rd. Babson Park. You may safely dock your watercraft behind the house in the canal on the backside of the property for easy access.
