In m opinion, if any place is going to call itself “Almost Heaven”, it should be this place. It was raining most of our visit and I still loved it. If you love animals and nature, this is the place.

Very fun weekend getaway

We had a little weekend getaway planned, and Brandon was the perfect host! It was a bit rainy and muddy when we came but Brandon was more than accommodating to make sure everything went smoothly. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Let's start with the positives:Super cute animals that you can interact with. You will be staying in an A-frame on the farm, with no separation between you and the animals. It was fun to watch the baby goats play and to listen to the sounds of the peacocks and emus as the sun rose. The bed is comfortable and the A-frame is quite charming. The property is fun to explore. Now for the cons:We were asked to arrive at a specific time for the host to meet us and give us a property tour. The address on VRBO is incorrect; we knocked on a random woman's house who had no idea who we were or where the cabin was. We had to drive back into town and find the farm's website, which included the actual address, as we had no cell signal near the property. The host was going to meet us at the property, but was at an event and ended up talking to us through one of his security cameras. He was kind and gave us instructions on how to access the farm.We had to pay an extra 20 to use an ATV to get up to the farm, which was disclosed after booking. Most people looking at this sort of thing might have an ATV in tow, but that expectation was not clear to us when we booked.Once on the property, we found that all gas canisters for the space heater and the BBQ grill were empty. The temps dropped into the 30s and we really had to snuggle to stay warm overnight without heat.Various amenities that are listed were either absent or unclear without in-person instruction, which was not given.

WEST VIRGINIA.

Why they chose this property

This is an off grid hobby farm hidden within the hills of West Virginia. It'll appear you're in Wv largest city and capital but you'll go up a holler and into the hills into a hidden oasis minutes from the city center and amenities but you'll be far away where sounds are limited to nothing but nature.

What makes this property unique

It's off grid and animals are at your expense to play with and experience. This is glamping. Its upscale camping. Amenities are few and you'll need to prepare like you're camping.
