The property was extremely nice. The outdoor location on the river was perfect, and the hot tub was nice and warm. The furnishings in the house are very nice, and the kitchen functioned well to prepare meals. Would love to stay again.
The property had everything we needed for a perfect stay. Six of us (sister, son, parents, and spouses) shared Pelican Roost for 6 days in March of 2026. We all took dinner responsibilitlites one night and each of us found the kitchen was well stocked. Sister made pizza in the oven out on the back patio one night too. We then finished each night with games of cribbage at the dining room table which almost seems made for cards. After a few games, we retreated to the living area where we could all sit in the sectional couch and comment on the movie of the night while the fireplace warmed the room. With our parents in their mid 80s, my sister and I were worried about them falling. However, our folks took the main floor bedroom and we never worried about their mobility at the VRBO at all. It really was a perfect trip.During the days, we went to the river (parents too!) and tried our luck at catching rainbow trout. The river was high and we had to walk through six inches of water to get to the dock but with the incredible days of weather, no one minded getting their feet cold for a few seconds. Great fishing!!The hosts were phenomenal and I am already planning a trip again next spring.
This home was just beautiful. Pictures were accurate. Home was nice and tidy, and ready for our group. The location on the river was fantastic! We spent most of our time in the outdoor kitchen area. I would definitely stay here again. The hot tub was clean and ready to use. Be aware though that there is no air conditioning in this home. The upstairs did get a little warm for us at night with the windows open in May. Otherwise, it was a great stay for 6 adults.
Exactly as described in the listing but so much more than we were prepared for. Beautiful surroundings right on the reservoir. Abundance of wildlife in the area. Watch out for bears and be sure to have your bear spray! We were fortunate and didn’t have to use it this trip! Every possible amenity and everything you need to have a wonderful vacation, right down to the binoculars on the window ledge to observe the many feathered varieties that frequent the reservoir and property. Hosts were so attentive and responsive but never intrusive. We stayed at this location as a midpoint between Yellowstone West entrance and Grand Teton NP. We were a little naive in thinking all parts of both parks would be open mid-April. The South entrance of Yellowstone was closed so we had to drive around through Teton Pass to get to Teton NP but what a view going that way! If you are not going for the parks, there are plenty of other attractions for all seasons. Definitely recommend this stay. We are hoping to be back in the not too distant future!! Enjoy!!
Incredible communication and beautiful, clean comfortable home. The outside deck area would be amazing for summer vacationing with a larger group. The whole place is really well designed for lake life (so many hooks for suits, towels, etc). Great for kids and adults.
