The house was perfect. Beautiful view of lake Huron. House had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The fire pit was a big hit at night. Would highly recommend this house.

The home was very clean and the owner provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. All we needed to bring were clothes and food. Although I do recommend bringing a Roku or Fire stick to enjoy the smart TV 's, we were unable to cast from our devices.

The Huron Haven lives up to it's name. I shared the home with my daughter & her partner and 5 grand kids....and we had an excellent stay (with the youngest wondering why we couldn't stay for 'just one more night'.It was a great location to explore the north and south shores of Lake Huron, including stocking up on Plath's Meats bacon (a big hit with everyone).The kitchen was well stocked for cooking for the masses, all the beds were reported to be super comfy and I really enjoyed morning coffee on the little deck off the Master Bedroom.One feature that was a pleasant surprise was even when the wind was whipping up the waves on the lake, the breeze up at the house was minimal...either some great planning was done or it's serendipity - either way, the view was wonderful and we all enjoyed watching for freighters at night as we roasted the marshmallows for s'mores. All 8 of us would recommend this property...it seldom gets better than this!

Peaceful Lakehouse

We loved the privacy of the home. Very quiet and peaceful. Had a few things that popped up but Sara was great and very communicative. Beautiful property.

Sara was an amazing host with an amazing home. She responded quickly to any questions or concerns and she was extremely nice. The house had everything we needed from towels to kitchen utensils. Everything was clean when we arrived and the view of the backyard and the lake was beautiful!

We really enjoyed our stay. Perfect amount of space for our family. Easy access to the beach. Would highly recommend water shoe if you want to swim. Very rocky and some of the rocks were slippery. The only real completely we had was the Internet wasn’t very strong and phone service wasn’t great. Would stay again and would recommend to family and friends.

4th of July Getaway

Our family had a great time here. Our group included a 2 (almost 3) year old, a 1 yr old, and 4 adults. The house fit our family perfectly, we loved the view, and had a great time sitting around the bonfire. We brought our kiddie pool and some yard games which fit great in the back yard. Being Michiganders we spend a lot of time traveling the state however have never visited Cheboygan. We loved the information Sara left for us and booked a boat tour with the Nautical North Family Adventures. The city was just a short drive to Burt Lake, Roger City, and Mackinaw City while providing us with the peace and tranquility we were seeking for our trip. I highly recommend this house to anyone who is looking for a great view, comfortable stay, a little adventure, and some peace/quiet. The only downside to the house was that there is not AC (we knew this when we booked) which was fine in 70-80 degree weather, however when the temperatures reached 95 the house got a bit toasty. I will say the ceiling fans did a great job and we are thinking about getting them for our house (that also does not have AC).

This home on 100' of Lake Huron frontage is off the beaten path, yet close enough to many different activities in the greater northeast region of the lower peninsula. With Mackinac Island just up the highway, inland waterways all around, and great family adventures all around, this property is sure to suit any family.

What makes this property unique

The property includes 2,000 square feet with private spaces for everyone and open spaces to enjoy each other's company. We have worked very hard to make the home comfortable for your family by including all the big things... washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchen, linens, etc. to all the little things... handsoap, laundry detergent, kleenex, toilet paper, etc.
