About the host
Hosted by Jessica
I’ve lived in Vermont my whole life and think it is absolutely beautiful and I hope everyone can experience its quiet beauty! I have been cleaning other peoples vacation homes since high school dreaming of opening my own home away from home to invite travelers to our serene and picturesque little mountainside getaway!
Why they chose this property
This home is right on the edge of the expansive Groton state forest which has 7 state parks and numerous seasonal activities! it is also only minutes away from Peacham pond great for fishing and boating and being set in the mountainside it has an abundance of incredible views all over the area along with many local attractions including maple farms distilleries and breweries Cabot creamery covered bridges and Ben and Jerry’s ice cream
What makes this property unique
Originally named Creamery Inn, the B&B was started by our grandparents circa 1835 In Cabot near the creamery. In 2000 they built this bed and breakfast and named it the Country Cottage. In 2024 we bought the property with the promise to continue their love for caring for travelers and after a few upgrades we opened it as a vacation home getaway!
