This cozy river cabin offers scenery, nature and relaxation at its finest. Nestled into a secluded location on the Menominee River, everything slows down as you listen to the bubbling river running just outside your lodge. Enjoy a fire around the large brick fire pit on the riverside patio - or stay inside to drink your coffee while you watch the river through the giant bay window. The property bolsters an expansive roaming 2 acre field where this plenty of room for games. And while you may FEEL like you are totally isolated from the busy world - the cabin is located only 3 miles from town where there are shops, a wide array of restaurants, gas stations, and a grocery store. The cabin boasts 2 cozy bedrooms and 1 loft including a king bed. With heat, WiFi, and a washing machine available, guests can enjoy a pleasant stay. The location on the Menominee River and exterior of the home were beautiful, but unfortunately, the interior did not meet expectations or the standards advertised. We arrived to find significant cleanliness issues: cat hair on the beds, furniture, and floors; unwashed bed sheets, filthy oven, unwashed dishes; used grill, stains on carpets, dusty ceiling fans; hair trimmings in the bathroom; and a visibly dirty refrigerator. Despite requesting in advance that the resident cat not be present, the cat remained on the property, crying outside at night, waking us up, and repeatedly entering the house. This made it difficult to sleep or relax indoors.We wanted to love this place, but the lack of cleanliness and pet oversight made that difficult. I hope this feedback helps future guests and encourages more attention to detail moving forward.
