This place is so cute! Love how convenient it is…can walk to a lovely coffee shop and pub. And there’s the art space next door that offers live music at times…this would be a perfect place to stay for a weekend…pick up an art class and then listen to the live music.

We had a lovely time during our stay. It was quiet, clean, and convenient to restaurants, the ice cream shop, and the park. We were across from the park so if you have kids, it is very convenient. We were able to walk to a coffee shop, restaurant, and Minnesota's oldest ice cream shop is right across the street. It was nice for us to be able to bring our dog as not all places allow pets. The host was lovely as we got to meet her at her shop right next door. Although we didn't try it out, there is an artist studio right next door and looks like it would be a fun place to make some art.

Great jumping off point for skiing

Great location and great accommodations. We enjoyed seeing the wild turkeys and deer in the park right I front of the property. Owners are very responsive with any questions we had.

Well set up to welcome pets although we did not bring them this time. We celebrated our family Xmas here and it was just lovely! 3 indoor trees decorated and warm flannel holiday sheets that were festive. Quick drive to 94 and Hudson for shopping.

Very pet friendly, cozy. We weren't in the home much but it was comfortable for us. One note is that you hear the water system & the furnace in the wee hours if you sleep in the main bedroom downstairs.

Fantastic host and adorable cozy home with efficient division of spaces. Rented this for our bridal party, we were very pleased with the stay we arranged for them. A slight hiccup getting the access code set up but the host was there and helped fix it in 10 minutes of being notified of the issue.

This cute schoolhouse property is an updated part of the town’s history. In fact the town square is right outside the front door with a riverside Main Street offering food and entertainment. Stillwater is just north is more is wanted. There was plenty of room for my husband and I to stay and entertain our grandchildren during the day while their parents worked. We were very comfortable and the hosts were nearby and very responsive.

Kathy & Peter were ideal guests. Their delightful grandchildren joined them over several days and it truly felt that we added a few more (awesome) relatives to our little family. Hoping these guests will choose a return visit!

Historic schoolhouse

The hosts were nearby and very helpful assisting us in any way they could. The home was charming. Not fussy but cozy and comfortable. Welcoming is a word we’d all use to describe our stay here. Also there is a park across the street and an ice cream shoppe within a block away for those awesome evening treats. We will definitely recommend this home and we WILL return here.

loved the stay!!! Just an idea for more pet friendly. A dog tie-tie out. Maybe a pole with a birdhouse that hold potty bags. With of course the owner artistic flare. She has the skill to make it really cute.

I thought very hard about visiting w/kids, grandkids & pets for Easter 2025. I live 2-1/2 hrs away. I hv adhd & pressure drives me into a frenzy! My trip turned into a Zen Family gathering over the long weekend. Great Vibe. Fun & all people got along, including the dogs. My family came in small groups over my stay. It worked great! We got to hang a little w/Liz & Joe, who are unbeatable hosts!hosts!w/LizJw/ssweekend!lowas

A very cute and nice place to stay in Afton. We needed a dog-friendly place for 2 adults and 2 grown children. The old schoolhouse was more than comfortable for all of us. There are great local restaurants that are walkable and the park across the street. Highly recommend. We would definitely stay here again!
