Weekend stay

Perfect rental- had everything we could need in the kitchen and we were able to use the outdoor gas grill. Home was very clean and the owners were wonderful to work with. We are thinking of renting again for a fall getaway!

Excellent rental! Has everything we could need to cook, plenty of towels, health and beauty items, cleaning supplies and paper products. Best stocked rental we ever stayed at. Very clean house, comfortable beds. Wonderful experience with the owners as well.

Weekend visit

Came to New York to visit my aunt in Cooperstown. Unfortunately, we didn’t start looking for a place to stay until April and nothing was available. Even though it was a bit of a drive, this place worked perfect for our needs.

The house served its purpose. The furniture is very old and could use some upgrading. The stall shower floor is so stained that it looks dirty and the towel bar on the door falls off if you touch it.

The property was good for what we needed it for. Close proximity to AllStar Village. Everything worked but it could definitely use some updating. Two of the beds were ok, the third was not comfortable to sleep on. The furniture is outdated and bathrooms need some help. Difficult to open and close shower door in master bath. Could use a new shower curtain in the main bath. The house served it’s purpose - just needs some tender loving care. Great kitchen supplies. And all of the appliances worked well.

almost as described, close enough to our destinations

This place had mostly everything we needed. There were a few things that needed attention, surprised that the previous renters never addressed these issues OR even the house cleaner, (they were not hard to miss) so I texted Debora about them after. Thing being ... when we entered the house, these issues should have been addressed beforehand, not after. We did not want to have repairs and such done while not there, or, while we were trying to relax from the busy days. Our stay was in close proximity to where we needed to go, place appeared clean, plenty of room, quiet area.

Not as described

Very musty odor as soon as we walked in. My grandson’s allergies immediately bothered him. Gas grill was rusted and filthy inside. I even asked if I could bring charcoal grill and was told there was a grill at property that I could use. A/C only window units in bedrooms, hot in living areas. Would not recommend.

In definite need of care

We only stayed at this house for one night despite our 8 night reservation. Evolve was gracious enough to allow us to cancel and switch properties.. The house was filthy. There was dust and hair everywhere. Kitchen cabinets were covered in grime Kitchen plates and utensils were dirty and greasy. I would not have felt comfortable using anything in the kitchen because it was all that dirty. Even the checkin instructions were sticky and covered in food. Stains on the bedroom sheets. Master shower had grime on the floor. Master bedroom bed was not a queen as described and was about the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept in. Tvs were smaller than most computer monitors. There were cracks in walls, peeling paint, holes etc. I dont know if this house simply had not been cleaned prior to us arriving, but at almost 200.00 a night, you expect hotel quality clean when you arrive. This was not it. Had the house been clean, and the bed a queen, it might have been a decent stay. Close to all star village, large property, east to find, cute exterior. But the cleanliness was a HUGE problem.

Nice Get Away

This host was easy to reach which is great.The house provided most of the basics needed in a home. House was clean and it was off the main road. Huge deck it can hold 10 people for summer barbecue.You have great mountains views and since it is getting warmer you are beginning to see a few ants lurking around.

Long holiday weekend getaway

We found the property to be adequate. The basics were certainly provided in the house. I was disappointed to not find a hair dryer in either of the bathrooms, so I had to go out and purchase one after I arrived. It appeared that the house had a lot of old items left behind in the cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathrooms including many used bars of soap in the bathroom cabinets. It was really nice to have a fireplace to use each night; we provided our own firewood; there weren't any fireplace tools, but we improvised. So if you are looking for a "no frills, just the basics" place to stay in the Otego area, this place fits that criteria.

Everything you need and a great location

The house is stocked with everything you need (kitchen items, shampoo and soap, etc). Right off of I-88, close to Oneonta, Cooperstown. Quiet location at the end of a street surrounded by fields. Roku tvs allow you to use your own subscription services. Full cell service and wifi.

We were in the area for a wedding in Gilbertsville this was a perfect fit for us. The home was clean, conveniently located off I-88, and Deborah and Roger were great hosts. They responded promptly to a couple of questions and were a pleasure to work with.

All Star Village trip

We recently stayed at this house while my son was at All Star Village. The house was comfortable and clean. It was a perfect location for us since it was only 12 minutes from the ball fields and an easy drive. We enjoyed having a place to relax in between games, eat and do some laundry. As someone mentioned before, some of the decoration is a little outdated, but we weren't there for that aspect, and it looked like they had updated other things like the carpet and flooring. My daughter loved visiting Sprinkles n' Cream on our way to the games. The one downside, which didn't bother us much, was the train tracks near by. You could definitely hear the train and we got stopped once waiting for it to go by. It didn't bother my husband and myself, but my daughter was annoyed by it. I wouldn't rule out renting this house just because of that. It was in a quiet area otherwise and had beautiful mountain scenery. The air conditioning was only in the bedrooms, but they did have a portable fan in the living room. My only suggestion would be to get another fan for the kitchen because it got a little warm in there when cooking and doing laundry. The owner was very responsive and helpful when I contacted her. Overall a pleasant stay!

Clean comfortable place!

House was clean and comfortable for our family to stay while our son is playing baseball at the All-Star village, We were only about 10 minutes away. We were only about 30 minutes from Cooperstown. The house was supplied with everything and the homeowners are very accommodating.
