Domain Les Lions was just as advertised. A wonderful villa with every conceivable convenience. Bathrooms and bedrooms were very nice. The kitchen had everything and was well equipped with even 2 dishwashers The grounds were beautiful and the pool and pool house are very nice. We were 7 adults and I can see how a much larger family group would be quite comfortable here.

This property and our week-long stay there (9 adults and 4 children) were superb in all respects. The owner and property managers were friendly, accessible and very accommodating. Great location and beautiful property - I can’t recommend it highly enough!

The property exceeded our expectations. It was immaculate and well appointed. The house was very comfortable for our multigenerational family group. The bedrooms were spacious and were configured ahead of our arrival to meet our needs. The amenities including the pool and pool house were a bonus to come home to after a full day of sightseeing. The kitchen was well equipped and the outdoor eating spaces were fabulous. The location was perfect as a home base for seeing Nice and other sights beyond Nice. We highly recommend visiting and we hope to visit again.

Fabulous adventure

Incredibly beautiful house, EVERYTHING was perfect. We were a group of friends, 11 persons, we all would love to come back. Owner and housekeepers just wonderful. Southern France as beautiful as can be!

Family Holiday

The villa was perfect for our family which included grandchildren aged 5 to 11 traveling from New Zealand and Australia. It was so comfortable and relaxing with everything we needed. The local village was just a short walk away for morning pastries and coffees. Thoroughly recommend it!

Excellent!

Between the location near a small town, beautiful grounds, and hospitality of the host this was a fabulous find. Highly recommend for large groups. This fit our 13 folks without any trouble.

Great location (close to all the wonderful beach and countryside villages, to the Nice airport, and to shoppings/supermarket), lovely house, wonderful pool, very clean, completely equipped. In a nutshell, this is a no brainer option for spending an unforgettable time in the south of France)

The house and hospitality were spectacular. We were a group of 10 and absolutely enjoyed our peaceful and spectacular get a way with more than enough space for everyone’s needs. We definitely found our home away from home when we visit the south of France again, which we absolutely will as it is truly special. We are a family of 14 plus a small baby. We had a fantastic holiday at the villa. The accommodation was very good with plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils and crockery. The living area very comfortable-plenty of games in the cupboard for the children.The pool area is excellent, We particularly liked the pool room, which worked very well for both children and adults. We enjoyed using the barbecue, the ping-pong table and the trampoline. The shops are within walking distance but the hill leading up to the villa is quite steep and we found having a car very useful.The concierge and her husband were both very helpful, although neither of them speak English, we managed with our limited French and Google translate. We paid extra for a daily clean. and asked for our towels to be changed once during the week. The proprietor responded to all our requests and questions very speedily.

Stunning Villa in a Superb Location

We had an absolutely wonderful time at Domaine des Lions! There was plenty of room for the twelve of us, and the house was beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. The pool and grounds are truly spectacular. Thierry and Cecile were gracious and helpful, and the house has an excellent handbook with recommendations on everything from hiking trails to restaurants. Thanks so much for an unforgettable experience! It had been many years since we had visited the Côte d’Azur, and we could not have hoped for a more relaxing and enjoyable week.

Wonderful stay at Domaine de les Lions

Our family of 13 had a fantastic stay at this stunning villa situated on approximately 5 acres of land. The villa has been meticulously and beautifully renovated and restored by the current owners whose family has owned the villa for about 100 years. The grounds are beautiful and a highlight is the beautiful pool and pool house which we all thoroughly enjoyed, especially our grandchildren. The caretakers, Catherine and Fabrice, were very attentive to our requests. The villa is conveniently located near the Nice airport and there is a great grocery store and several patisseries nearby. The owners created a wonderful book with many suggestions for activities and lots of useful information. We had a memorable vacation in this idyllic villa. Thank you!

Wonderful property!

Domains Des Lions is a wonderful property. We were looking for a warm and welcoming house to rent for a large family gathering that included a new born baby, young children, teenagers, parents and grandparents - domains des lions was a perfect setting. The main house was beautiful with excellent space and facilities for 14 people. The pool house and swimming pool provided wonderful settings for all of us to hang out, have fun and eat dinner. Thierry and Cecile were very warm, helpful and responsive and Adelaide was delightful to work with. The location provides an excellent base camp from which to explore the many local attractions like Monaco, Nice, Antibes and Cannes. We left with wonderful memories and we would highly recommend domains des lions for anyone looking for a high quality, family friendly home in the Côte d’Azur.

Stunning property, wonderful stay

We rented Domaine des Lions for a group of our friends and family who were coming to Nice to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. Everyone absolutely loved the house. Each room was beautifully appointed and spacious with its own en suite bathroom. The grounds are just beautiful and the renovation was completed recently with impeccable taste. Marie took excellent care of any small needs or questions that popped up during the stay. The only small constructive remark we have is that we had to supply shampoo and conditioner and soap for each of the 7 bedrooms which we believe should be included especially considering the high level of luxury that the rest of the house and experience provides. Merci Adelaide for having us - the house made our celebration for our friends and family a wonderful, comfortable, and special place to spend their free time.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Domaine des Lions which certainly lived up to expectations. Beautiful and spacious with a superb pool house, it provided for all our needs and more. Thierry and Cecile were attentive, making sure we had all we needed and provided a beautiful breakfast for us all on the first day. We can’t recommend this property highly enough. The difference was in the fact that it was a loved family home. We feel priveledged to have visited. Thank you.

Epic stay at Domaine des Lions

Words cannot describe how beautiful and amazing this villa is. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. Every room was BEAUTIFULLY decorated, CLEAN, and all essentials available. Everyone in our group was in awe during check-in. There are seven bedrooms with seven full bathrooms (5 with showers and 2 with bathtubs with handheld showers). There’s a hallway powder room and a full bathroom and changing room in the pool house too! Some bedrooms can be configured into two twin beds or put together into one king bed. Each room has A/C that is controlled by remote. The kitchen is fully stocked with essentials, as is the laundry room. The pool and pool house are large and immaculate with essentials for outdoor entertaining. You can relax out there all day on the numerous lounge chairs and outdoor furnishings. The grounds are well maintained and spacious. Everyone can spread out and have their own private space. The very nice caretakers live next door and are always available to provide assistance, especially since our group of 14 did not have cars. The house is situated on a hill. A 10 min walk downhill is the closest bus stop—Le Tunnel and bus #400 and #500 will take you to Cagnes sur mer train station each day at 30 minute intervals. From there you can go to other villages along the coast. Purchase a weekly ZOU HEBDO unlimited use train ticket from Cannes to Vintimille for 38€ at the train ticket office and you are good to go. There’s also a Casino supermarket and a big outdoor shopping mall 15 minute walk downhill to get essentials. The quaint Villeneuve Loubet village with restaurants and bakeries is a 15 minute walk downhill in the other direction. This place is really impressive! We wish we could stay here every summer. Amazing place on Cote d’Azure

This is a dream-come-true historic house in the hills near Nice, that has been recently fully restored to its original glory (with modern comfort, wi-fi, and a great pool/ pool house). We had wonderful time there - thanks to the property owners (thank you, Adelaide, for historic notes and detailed description of the local activities) and the housekeepers Marie and Jacque (they made a few things possible when our English-speaking group failed, prepared very lovely breakfasts for us and helped with grocery shopping for our barbecue!). The house is spacious, very clean, located in a hilly area, very peaceful but close to main roads (easy to get to Nice, Grasse, Cannes, Antibes, the beaches and famous museums). Kitchen is well-equipped, every bedroom has a dedicated bathroom (with very fluffy and impeccably white monogrammed towels!) and a TV/computer screen, powerful AC and a great view. Laundry has modern equipment and a steam-stationed iron. I would gladly come back and recommend this place to all who is looking for a great and comfortable place to spend vacation on the south of France.

Wir haben einen Großfamilienurlaub in diesem wunderschönen Haus machen dürfen: Großmutter mit Kindern und Kindeskindern. Für alle Altersgruppen war das Haus ideal. Tolle Ausstattung (z. B. 3 Spülmaschinen), aber auch viele Spiele (Tischtennisplatte, Mjölki) sind inklusive. Auch der Fußweg zum Strand ist für jüngere Kinder gut machbar (gute halbe Stunde fast komplett im Schatten). Wir würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren und können es sehr weiterempfehlen.

Beautiful property, Spacious house and relaxing pool

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The pool house and out door area comfortably accommodated our extended family of 9 for the week. The garden is beautiful and the bedrooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. The house is tucked away at the end of a dead end road. Highly recommend this home for extended family getaways.

Wonderful and historic property with all the modern conveniences.

Since our originally requested property nearer to the beach was a fraudulent listing (be cautious when selecting property with no references) this was a last minute replacement booking. Could not have been a better choice. Beautiful grounds, large pool and pool house, well equipped kitchen for those who enjoy cooking, and all major bedrooms (except small children’s room with bunks) have updated baths with tub or shower. Property a little hard to find but a real hidden treasure within a short drive of everything the area has to offer. Charming village with good dining options a brisk walk down the hill. The property managers couldn’t have been more welcoming or helpful. We’ll return! .

We had a wonderful time, the villa was simply beautiful, Marie and Jacques were so friendly and helpful. We should have had 2 cars though as very steep hill walking back from the village. Would recommend this villa to anyone
