Welcome to The Kiss Cabin!
Perched above a pristine mountain creek on 6 private acres, The Kiss Cabin isn't just another rental property—it's a labor of love we've dreamed of sharing with couples since we first fell in love with these mountains (and each other) nearly two decades ago.
Inspired by Gustav Klimt's masterpiece "The Kiss," this intimate treehouse-style haven was designed and built by us, your hosts, with our own hands—every nail, every board, every thoughtful detail specifically crafted to create magical romantic getaways. This isn't a converted home; it was conceived from day one as a lover's retreat where couples can reconnect amidst the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
You'll have completely private access to:
• A stunning cascading creek right below your deck
• Private swimming holes for warm weather dips
• 6 acres of mountain woodland to explore
• A 15-minute creekside walk to the historic New River
• Custom fairy lights that transform the forest at night (not pictured as it's impossible to truly capture this magical detail on camera!)
• Hot tub overlooking the creek
• King bed with premium linens
• Curated vinyl record collection
• Dual-head shower with heated bathroom floors & luxury bidet toilet (we're talking heated seat and remote operated)
• Blackstone grill and full kitchen amenities
• Coffee and tea amenities
****Important Access Information****
We want to be completely transparent: as a brand new property, we're still finishing some access improvements:
• The staircase from the parking area to the cabin is still under construction
• Our driveway is not suitable for most vehicles
• Most guest will need to use the designated parking area at the top or the driveway and walk down the STEEP hill to get to the cabin
• Guests must carefully walk down to reach the cabin (appropriate footwear recommended)

We understand that life happens, but as a small business, we maintain a strict cancellation policy. We recommend purchasing trip insurance to cover expenses from last-minute cancellations.

Like many great love stories, ours began with art and adventure. We met in Chicago in 2009, building sets at a theater company—Shamba, a city native, and Samantha, a small-town gal with mountains in her soul. Life has a way of writing better stories than we could imagine: our cross-country adventure turned into destiny when our truck broke down in Boone, North Carolina. Sometimes, breakdowns lead to breakthroughs.
The mountains claimed us that day. The natural beauty, the authentic community, and the rhythm of mountain living spoke to something deep in our hearts. We knew we'd found home.

After raising our children here and falling deeper in love with these mountains each year, we dreamed of creating something special—a place where other couples could experience the magic we feel here every day. That dream led us to this extraordinary piece of land in Todd, NC, a place we once called home in our early mountain days.
