About this property

 A funky-chic one-bedroom apartment with a private entrance and a full kitchen.

The Mallard Building is an 1840s corner store building located in the heart of the historic Treme neighborhood.  The apartment has a 12’ by 12’ bedroom with 14’ ceilings.  There is a ceiling fan and a new, powerful cooling and heating window unit. There is a full sized kitchen with a table to enjoy meals or a coffee. Cozy bathroom includes an antique clawfoot tub/shower.  A convenient foyer offers room for storing luggage and/or bikes.
Television and wifi provided.
We live in the building and are a phone call away in case of an emergency. We respect guests' privacy and space, but we are happy to provide recommendations to local food, music, and activities upon request.

Really enjoyed our stay. The VRBO is in a great location, our host was very responsive and he plays a great piano. We can highly recommend this rental for anyone who wants a quiet location near the French Quarter.

Nice but...

The unit was pretty much as expected, but I do feel obliged to note that the bathroom poses a serious problem for anyone who is not small, young and nimble.
