The Shopkeeper's Oasis is a property on the state historic register right in the center of downtown Bennington. The former home of some of Bennington's most popular businesses, it has been converted into a lux apartment that fits the age of the property. Tastfully appointed with a mixture of locally antiques and artifacts collected over a lifetime.

Located mere steps from restaurants, shops, and breweries. Just a short drive to Mt Snow, Bromley, Stratton and Prospect Mountains.

This property is home to Haberdasher Wine and Provisions on the main floor, and the entire second floor is dedicated to the VBRO. Enjoy plenty of peace and privacy, while still being close to all the amenities that downtown Bennington has to offer.

I was sad to leave. My husband called the place "exceptional." It really was a great place to stay.We were looking for a home base for exploring Manchester, Bennington, Williamstown, and North Adams, and this was a perfect location.The apartment itself is fantastic. It was clean and nicely furnished. The bathroom was a delight to use, and the kitchen was well appointed. The beds were so comfortable, and the decor fit the time period of the space while being uncluttered at the same time. The host was very appropriately responsive, to boot! The apartment is on a main street in a small town, so there is some street noise. We also arrived on a weekend when the local restaurants had outdoor dining and live music, so we were a little nervous about that - but they all closed at 9 or 10, so that wasn't a problem at all. Overall, a truly excellent experience. We'd love to stay here again the next time we're in the area!
