Wonderful to arrive with cottage set at perfect temperature. A delicious apple pie, S'mores ingredients awaited. Coffee, tea & cocoa generously provided. Wonderfully comfortable beds, warm bedding, thick towels. Great shower. This is my second stay at Rabbit Hollow, and I will make it my go-to accommodation for Asheville area visits.

My daughter and I loved our time here. We both said it was too short and will return. Super clean, quaint, cozy, comfortable, beautiful spot. We also found so many small touches and attention to detail that are so thoughtful. Make sure to check the binder on the bookshelf in the living room about the archaeological history of the property. As a history lover I found it fascinating. I also loved the foggy mornings.

Perfect Cozy Cottage

Great place to stay in the Asheville area. Great location, wonderful house, excellent hosts and good communication. We loved the charm and character of this older house. We also learned that our dog prefers a home atmosphere compared to staying in a hotel. We'd highly recommend this darling house for your stay!

The coziest of cabins

The owners of this cabin went above and beyond to make our stay welcoming. Not only was it clean and comfortable, but they also left us an apple pie to share and s’more supplies and plenty of firewood. We loved our stay.

This property has a special place in our hearts and memories. The hosts are phenomenal and communication is 5 stars. The outside is perfect for kids, and the bonfire pit is one of the highlights of the property. We were a bit sad to see the house seems to be going more down hill (we understand it is a very old house and we appreciate the nature of them as we too have lived in 100 year old houses, one of which we gutted and remodeled) and it seemed the house is lacking some much needed necessary maintenance. You will love your time here, regardless, it was just something that we noticed has changed from years past. Old houses, this one in particular, are so special for us, and we would hate to see it lost!

Great stay, great location, clean and tidy & a yummy apple pie to welcome us & a nice touch of smores ( which my son loved). Sitting on the veranda in the rocking chair watching the fire flies was delightful. However one piece of information missing in description was that was located next to a major highway, so for a light sleeper like myself it wasn't perfect night sleep I was hoping for. A nice little getaway property & nicely and homely and nice decorated & lots of caring touches.

Storybook Stay!

Ray & Vikki were absolutely amazing hosts. There is so much love and thoughtfulness and care in their wonderful space. Little touches of kindness and incredible hospitality throughout. And the house itself is charming, lovingly decorated with a whimsical and vintage charm. We are already planning our return trip. This will always be our base when we visit Asheville from now on. Thank you both for such a wonderful getaway!

Peaceful little cottage

Enjoyed our stay - the cottage is out of way, but not far from town, peaceful and has a great garden. It was a good base to spend some family time while one of the kids is studying at UNC Asheville and way better than a hotel.. Really enjoyed the pie, thank-you..

Our family is native to the area, it is our desire to live our lives out in our home town and near family. We had the opportunity to purchased the 7 acres and cottage in 2002 now known as Rabbit Hollow. We have renovated and improved the cottage over the years, knowing the history of the property, space for families and the convenience of the area makes a perfect vacation rental for our guest.

Why they chose this property

We loved the lay of the land, the old timey flora that is planted in the yard and the content homey feeling we had when we visited the property (it was like being at our grandparents' house when we were kids) along with the rich history that came with the place. We fell in love with the property.

What makes this property unique

The property has plenty of yard space for family, friends and pets while being so convenient to amenities such as grocery stores and restaurants but yet a very private property wooded all around. There are no homes within view nor roads to worry about children or pets, the cottage is homey and cozy its hard to leave each time we go.
