Great location. Cabin is located off the Blue Ridge Parkway with easy access to nearby Boone. Cabin was clean and comfortable, perfect for a sister's getaway vacation.
Plenty of space and comfort for our family of 6. Property was very clean and met expectations. It was also very well lit which I appreciate as it seems some accommodations are lit about as well as a cave. We would recommend and stay again.
This cabin was so quiet and so beautifully appointed! Spent lots of time listening to the birds on the porch and reading inside at night! My husband loved sitting on the porch with coffee first thing in the morning! Location was great! We will definitely stay here again!
A mountain forest view, a real mountain home with living room and sitting room, two fireplaces, comfortable bedrooms, up to date bathrooms and a porch to be lazy on.Highly recommend—situated in a quiet neighborhood halfway between Boone and Blowing Rock. Accommodating host. Go for it!!
Fantastic location and so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. All we could ask for and need in kitchen, bathrooms, ad living space. Super clean, spacious, convenient to town but not trapped in the midst of college move in week! Definitely want to book again!
This was a beautiful property and location. You are in a neighborhood but there was so much wild life! Chipmunks, birds, deer, fawns! A baby deer was literally 2 feet from the balcony. So peaceful! I spent a day alone while everyone else was hiking and it was blissful. I LOVED hearing the Tweetsie Railroad train whistle too! Exactly the recharge you need. The bed was very comfortable and I have back issues so that’s so important! The water pressure was really low and the washer/dryer were very small and you had to run the dryer twice to dry the clothes. Otherwise, wonderful stay!
Excellent vacation rental!! The picture window was a wonderful place to sit and drink coffee. Host answered any questions. Beautiful and cozy home. Tons of snow and was an easy drive up. Would definitely rent again.
Justin's retreat was absolutely great! The sitting rooms and bedrooms were amazing, clean and simple, yet elegant with decor. The property itself was near the Blue Ridge Parkway and the surroundings were absolutely beautiful. Justin himself was a great host, we ended up needing to stay an additional night due to some car issues my in-laws had and he was incredibly accommodating. 10/10, would definitely stay here again in the future.
The property was just as described and very clean. It was easy to drive to and from Blowing Rock and Boone (just know it will be very dark driving at night) and being so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway was a plus for us. The house was cozy and had multiple comfortable spots for relaxing, including a nice covered porch. We loved using the fireplace when it got chilly at night. Overall, highly recommend this place as a good base for exploring the area.
Beautifully decorated. Great location. Very clean. Kitchen well equipped. Bathrooms nice. Great porch. Quiet neighborhood.Could not get fireplace to light once timer went off and texted person in charge but no resolution offered. Mattress was comfortable but bedding needs to be upgraded as sheets were worn (torn) and hard to keep tucked in. Would stay again but hope the bedding would be nicer.
We loved our stay here. It was one of the best short term rental experiences in a long time because it felt like a home, not a business, like rentals did when this all started. The location was fabulous between Boone and Blowing Rock. You felt far out of the way, but were just minutes to anything. We hiked Goshen River and it was nice. We will stay again any time we are back in town.
The visit was a delight. It’s beautiful, well designed house with ample space, beautiful views, an ample porch and nice bedrooms and bathrooms. The fireplaces are wonderful, the seating is comfortable and cozy. The two separate living room and reading room was a nice surprise. The kitchen was well furnished. We enjoyed chatting by the fire at night and drinking our coffee in the reading room with the big window in the morning. Time on the porch was nice, too. We had a few deer sightings. I can’t wait to come back for a longer stay and hikes. The drives to Blowing Rock and Boone were easy and scenic.
