Lakefront Cabin on Black Lake with Dock - Sleeps 13
Nestled in the woods on the shores of Black Lake, this small waterfront cottage is peaceful and private, offering a large screened porch to sit and watch the sunsets! It has two bedrooms and one bath in the main cottage (530 sq ft) and a separate bunk house (100 sq ft) that allows for sleeping accommodation for 7 additional guests. Kitchen and living area is open plan with a large enclosed back porch that makes a great entertaining space. Two firepits. Dock. BBQ. Peddle boat. Canoe. Lawn games. Camping atmosphere in rear of house and lake vibes in front of house. Fully stocked kitchen. Linens and towels are provided only for the main cabin. The bunk house only comes with mattress protectors and fitted sheets – guests must bring their own flat sheets, pillowcases, pillows, blankets, comforters, sleeping bag, and towels for the bunk house. Washer & Dryer (washer has cold water only). Clothesline. There is access to a private boat ramp 1/4 mile away. We use this place when it isn’t rented so we have everything needed to have a relaxing lake visit. We are always improving and adding value for our guests and ourselves. Please note that Black Lake is not ideal for swimming due to lake weeds & lake muck. Also - This is a cottage/camp in a woodsy area on a lake. There is lots of nature around! Fish to catch, birds to watch, mosquitoes to smush… we treat for insects, pests, and critters but we do not have the ability to control Mother Nature. There will be some gnats, mosquitoes, spiders and flies around the outside of the property due to the wooded lake location. We provide mosquito repellant and bug spray. The house itself has room to sleep 6 (1 queen bed, 1 full bed, 1 queen futon) and the bunkhouse has 7 twin beds. There is a step down to access the living room, one bedroom and the porch. There is one step up to the bunkhouse. There is also an unpaved incline to reach the dock/lake. Verizon cell service works great, but there is no service with other cell providers."

The cottage was exactly what we expected! The bunkhouse was a great added extra. You have to see the sunsets to believe them. It was a wonderful week with memories we will always cherish.
Clean, plenty of room inside, very spacious outside with a long dock for several boats. Owners very easy to communicate with and return messages asap!!
The cabin was amazing, nice and quiet. The bunk house was perfect for the kids, gave them their own space to hang out in. Tons of wildlife, frogs, fish and the owl flew through a few times. We went up for "Pirates Weekend" at Alex's Bay, was a nice 25 min drive. Did the Uncle Sam's boat tour, stores were close enough for last min things. Would rent again!!
We stayed for a week with a family of 10. Enough comfortable space for all of us! The kids had a blast catching HUGE frogs and blue gill left and right from the dock. We also made use of the paddle boat and canoe. Short drive to all the 1000 Islands has to offer! Host was extremely helpful with area recommendations with quick responses.
My daughter and I usually go somewhere fishing for Father’s Day. The last time either of us were at Black Lake was 29 years ago, she was 3 months old. This place is very scenic, private and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and we slept well there. Fishing off the dock in the evenings is as good as anywhere on the lake! Derek is an excellent communicator and responds very quickly anytime you reach out to him. Would happily stay at Camp Demperio again!
Our grandfather built this camp in 1981. We're excited to share it with all of you in hopes you can make wonderful memories with your families here, too.
