About this property
Tropical oasis by the FQ and French Street
Historic Creole Cottage on a quiet street in the Faubourg Marigny btw the French Quarter & historic Frenchman Street! Just back on the market. Tasteful and full of NOLA flair, this cottage renovation has 2 levels. On the first floor, guests have a sitting room for movie watching & socializing, a fully equipped kitchen with every appliance, a full bar (three bar stools), table seating for four, and main level powder room. On the second level, relax in two large private bedrooms (no shot gun walk through here), a full bath with a shower big enough for two, a clawfoot tub (outside the main bath in separate tiled wet area) and full size laundry with washer and dryer.
On the front porch, watch the horse and buggies travel by from the porch swing. OR, just down the private side alley, find seclusion on the rear deck. Sip your drink of choice under a tropical landscape of palms and fruit trees. You can forget back here that the excitement of NOLA is just steps away. There is a hammock in the rear of the yard and bikes for touring to take your own tour of the lovely Marigny filled with historic properties.
Just steps away, enjoy great restaurants including the Ruby Slipper, Horn's, Port of Call and Adolfo's. Don't miss stops on Frenchmen Street for world class music at popular venues like the Spotted Cat, The Blue Nile, and Café Negril. Stroll over to the French Quarter to dance the night away.
Come experience the incredible food, eclectic music and unique appeal of old New Orleans and you too will say "Laissez le bon temps roule"! STR License# 24-MSTR-10396

Perfectly situated off of Frenchmen St and right next door to The Ruby Slipper. It was an 8 pound week, thanks to all the good food nearby. Our hosts were very helpful and made the experience excellent in every way.We will definitely come back here if available.
We loved everything about our stay. Walkable to anything and everything in the French Quarter. We spent mornings on front porch watching buggy tours go by, enjoyed brunch next door at Ruby Slipper and spent evenings on back deck/garden area. I can’t recommend this property enough and hope to come back.

Beautiful New Orleans style home in great location!
Walk or bike to the Quarter and Frenchmen St! And the house had so many "little things" that made it comfortable and charming like the kitchen amenities, decor, and plenty of clean linens. I'm definitely staying there again for every trip.
Incredible house that was immaculately clean upon arrival, provided a uniquely decorated and comfortable setting to enjoy the city. Close to Frenchmen st and walkable to the river. Everything in the house worked well. Nothing bad to say at all. Neighbors were gracious.

We absolutely love this place. Everything was excellent. We had a minor concern and the owner took care of it immediately. Zero complaints. The furnishings and decor fit the neighborhood and everything was clean and in good order. It appears to be in a safe part of town as well.

Thanks Josh. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay at La Belle Burgundy! I hope your daughter enjoyed her trip to NOLA as well. We would love to have you come back anytime. Take care, Lisa K
Great location within walking distance of some of our favorite bites at Ayu and Budsi’s. Loved sitting on the porch swing and enjoying the life of the neighborhood. Grateful most of us are deep sleepers as the liveliness of the neighborhood is evident after our bedtime. The house was charming, fun, and comfortable. We’ll definitely keep this in mind for next time.
I had a wonderful stay at this place. Ideal location in the Marigny just a couple of blocks from both the Frenchmen street clubs and the French Quarter. Beautifully decorated with some really nice touches here and there that really bring out the charm of the rental. The host provided everything one would need. The front porch and back patio are great for hanging out and relaxing. The people in the neighborhood were very friendly. The only downside for me is the 30-day minimum because I can’t always spend that much time away. But if I could this place would be at the top of my list. Highly recommended!
This location is absolutely PERFECT for anyone wanting to experience everything that NOLA has to offer. Walking distance from bourbon, French quarter, Jackson square and literally anything else you’d want to see. Would 100% stay here again. The host also allowed us early check in with no additional fee.
We had a wonderful time. The Ruby Slipper, Horns, Crescent Park, Frenchmen Street are all delicious and within walking distance. Mikimoto, Jaques-Imo’s Cafe, and Zimmer’s seafood are all worth the short drive.
The house was vibrant and well cared for. The property manager was very responsive.
We would love to stay again one day.
We loved our stay. The home is as advertised, very clean, all updated. The location was perfect for us...its walking distance to Bourbon Street but even closer to Frenchman Street which we actually prefer over Bourbon St. Tons of places to eat nearby. The house is on a quiet street but its only minutes from the craziness! And Lisa was a great host. Highly recommended!
Belle burgundy is a great property in a very accessible location,
the house is as good as it looks , we particularly liked the private back porch with a surprising breeze,
The A/C did seem to have a mind of its own, with long run cycles, this might bother some but it was 90 all week and very humid so not a real issue.
Location: 2 blocks to market and trolley, but
We walked everywhere in the french quarter, and even into Arts district,
Would definetely stay again, thanks Lisa.

Great location and home!!
My family stayed almost a week in this lovely gem and would do so again! The location is perfect. Close enough to the clubs, but quiet at home. Every morning I would sit on the front porch and say hello to the passerby’s who were so friendly. The restaurant right next door was perfect for breakfast. Cannot day enough about this place, it’s location and New Orleans! ❤️

Beautiful Home in the Perfect Location!
La Belle Burgundy is the perfect place to stay while visiting New Orleans! The house is beautiful and has everything one could possibly want or need. Any questions were answered promptly by the property manager, Lisa. My husband and I were met at the house by the Guest Concierge who gave us the door code and a quick walk through to explain how everything worked. The house is located in a very quiet neighbourhood right off Frenchman Street and is very close to the French Market, two trolley lines, Walgreen’s and Robert’s Fresh Market. We felt very safe walking in the area in the evenings and would highly recommend staying at this wonderful home!

Beautiful, Comfy Home - Live like a local during your stay
Our stay was for 10 days in late January. We unknowingly picked the perfect neighborhood to be away from the hubbub of the partiers, it was very quiet and peaceful yet just a short walk to all the action. The house is very comfortable with all the amenities one could want. Mornings were spent on the front deck people watching, drinking coffee and enjoying the sun. We spent most of our nights on Frenchman Street at The Maison and Bamboula’s. We used the trolley system to get around to other areas of New Orleans and did the Hop On Hop Off bus one day to hear and see the history of each of the areas. We walked to/from the French Quarter and Frenchman Street even at night and felt safe. Uber is a great way to get to/from the airport or anywhere else you just don’t want to walk. We will definitely be back!

About the host
Hosted by Tommy Kearney
We first traveled to New Orleans in the mid 90"s when our Virginia Tech Hokies played in the Sugar Bowl. The Hokies won and we began our fascination with all things New Orleans! We love the people, the music, the food and the architecture that all mesh together to make NOLA , we believe, the most interesting, eclectic, exciting city anywhere. Bourbon Street is famously crazy but there is so much more to see, experience and love about this city. We hope you will enjoy your visit and stay in the Marigny ... in our little piece of history!
Why they chose this property
La Belle Burgundy is a thoughtful renovation of a historic Creole Cottage with modern bits of luxury and the feel of old New Orleans.
Central LOCATION between the French Quarter and Frenchman Street in a picture perfect, historic neighborhood. Burgundy Street itself is traveled daily by horse carriage, walking and Segway tours that pass in front of the home.
Located in the heart of the Faubourg Marigny, there are countless restaurants, bars and jazz clubs just a quick walk away. Find Frenchmen Street at the end of our block, and walk past Washington Square, lined by live oaks and Spanish moss and then on to great restaurants and live music. The Spotted Cat is one of our favorites.
2009 Burgundy is two blocks from the streetcar line, which runs to Canal Street, the Warehouse District & the Garden District. Three streets to the right, cross Esplanade into the French Quarter. It's all right here.
What makes this property unique
Two Level vacationing with a private tropical rear yard for relaxing AND front porch for people watching.
Special neighborhood spots include the Ruby Slipper located next door for convenient, delicious breakfast and lunch only.
Loretta's Bakery, just one block over, serves praline filled beignets and other amazing daily treats.
Close enough to everything you want to do but far enough away to relax.
